and on that note............been running since i flashed homie! i have ZERO issues which makes me happy as hell as this damn phone never quits or gets any rest, did 1 soft reset in the last two days,memory stays plentiful,overall use of sense is super smooth,and im loving the stability of the rom,no soft resets since i installed all my apps and ect.

Performance = A+ for me :thumbleft:
Great to hear! Thanks for the wonderful feedback and being there with me through all the beta testing and what not! The ROM would not be what it is without your input! You, sir, are the man!

is it just me or does the lockscreen not stay locked if you open the keyboard? I even tried lockdevice_v1.6.cab with no luck.

other than that, this rom is awesome

Hello there! Thanks for trying out my ROM! I'm glad you think it's awesome. I would have to agree ;)

You're right the lockscreen does not stay locked when you open the keyboard. I hadn't ever opened the keyboard with the lockscreen locked. I'll look into and hopefully find a solution!

So I just noticed if you set the passcode lock then it will stay locked when you open the keyboard, but it won't stay locked without the passcode.

I've downloaded Multi-Carrier CHT SharkieROM v1.1 and installed it. Here are my first thoughts:
1 - You need to put in post #1 a large notice that the initial boot takes a VERY long time compared to other ROMs and that people need to just wait it out.
2 - My eyes are bleeding because I just got done reading every post here before deciding to overwrite the ROM I've been using and really like.
3 - I'm an idiot because I forgot to Task29 before flashing the ROM. When I did the carrier provisioning (that didn't auto-run), it rebooted and froze (prior to asking if I wanted to reboot or not). So, now I'm reinstalling after having run the Task29 like I should have done in the first place.
4 - I still hate the look of flip-clocks, but I seem to be in the minority on that one (hey, it was an initial thought, so I included it).
5 - The taskbar is ok, but kind of bland for my tastes.
6 - The sense slider isn't transparent, etc. etc. - all just a few cosmetic preferances.
7 - This thing is FAST even without setting up any overclocking.
8 - Amazing, and well worth the switch from the other ROM.

Edit: Now that I think about it, you may just be able to replace that file. It is called " welcomehead.192 ". I've never tried it so I'm not sure it would work, but you could give it a go. Obviously, it needs to be 480x800 and named welcomehead.192 . It also needs to be in .jpg format. A .png will definitely not work. I'm curious to know if that works. Let me know, if you try it.

Thanks for all the feedback. I may edit the 1st post to reflet the long boot, but probably not, we'll see. If you're going CHT, then you can say goodbye to flip clocks forever if you like (Which reminds me, I need to edit the change log to include Zimia's black HTC analog clock that I've added). Sorry you don't like the taskbar, but all things are changeable as you well know. Personal preference, I just don't like transparent sliders these days. It's awesome that you read so much of the thread, most do not. I'm honored that you would give me a try since you're not easy to take away from the ROM you've been using. :) I look forward to seeing you more often then, I hope.

Cool, thanks for trying it and letting me know, or did you already know that would work? Where did you post that cab and package? I know I can get it via the thread attachment link, but I'm just curious...

speaking of the rom and where it is going and ect. i would like to take time to give a HUGE THANKS TO darren.wlsn1,he has really really helped out with suggestions,fixes,cabs,packages and the whole 9 yards!! but not only here i may mention as well all over this site,he has helped me with devices he hasn't owned,countless links provided and a wealth of knowledge i have gained by watching and reading his post in my short time with ppc's,i wouldn't know half as much as i know were it not for ppl like him,just want you to know all you do is appreciated sir! greatly!!!

+1 on that! That's the reason I'm soooooo honored that he has tried my ROM and visits this thread frequently. Yes, thanks darren for all that you do!

i just got back in town after 3 days and man this thread took off quick! 15+ pages to catch up on...

im gonna dl the new version now and flash away! to throw in my $0.02, i prefer Opera 9.77. i just cant get used to the zooming and scrolling in 10. i do like the menus in 10 better, but obviously i spend more time browsing than in the menus.

hopefully Sanjeev gets the server issues fixed qucily. he's pretty good about taking care of his users.

I'll post back with my reports later!!!


huge thanks to Sharkie! this is the the first ROM ive flashed besides Mightys since i started flashing a year and a half ago. well done!
