Hey Sharkie, just another thanks for your continued work on the TP2. Flashing your 5.1 beta now.... will post any bugs.

I'm considering changing up to the Arrive for my phone, keeping the TP2 running on wifi for certain WinMo 6.5 apps that don't exist for me yet on WinMo7... but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. I could go EVO but... who knows.

Anyway my TP2 is still alive, again thanks to chef's like you.

I don't have an mark as read email option in the mail tab sense menu. I don't think there ever was one, but I could be wrong. I believe I've always either had to go into my inbox and "Mark all as read" or open up that individual email and then close it to dismiss it/them. If I recall correctly that is the specific reason I added the "mark as read" tweak. It was the fastest way to get rid of new email notifications.

I thought I remembered you saying that you had gotten down to only using 5 tabs at one point and that you were using mostly widgets. If that was the case, perhaps you just got so accustomed to that feature in the email widget that you forgot that it's not naturally a part of Sense? Dunno, just speculating.

Only way I recall marking a single message as read is to select and hold the message. A menu will show with options. "Mark as read" is the 5th option down. Other way I recall is as Sharkie mentions - open message and read it.

So far the 5.1x beta is running fast and a stable.

Only issue I've encountered is during intitial setup, the Mail tab wouldn't display mail, and showed two Outlook accounts. I had set up the Exchange stuff through the desktop Active synch. After trying to delete that account several times, I reflashed and set up the Exchange account via phone only... no problems there.

Oh, and on your 5.0 ROMs I was able to uninstall the Bubbles SMS cab... on this one I can't seem to find that cab. It's a personal preference thing, I'd rather not have the bubbles. (I can deselect them I know - but after clearing out all the SMS messages, each new one that comes in requires a deselect. (Or so I think.))

Has anyone tried running with out a background selected, leaving just a black screen for background? It may be just me, but it seems fast this way ... although it could just be Sharkie's ROM running fast. (cheers!)

Thanks again, Sharkie, I'll be taking the 5.1 beta on the road with me this week... It'll get extensive use while travelling.

Shark thanks for a great rom. I've loaded up your 5.1, and using it mainly to wifi my laptop. It is working great. I uninstalled cookie, and unchecked sense. I have spb mobile shell running and my free ram is around 110mb, so it's running good. I've also had problems on other roms with the battery draining while wifi is running, and that's while plugged in, but your rom seems to keep fully charged. Thanks again for supporting the TP2, even though you have a new device. I hope you continue to support the TP2.

like the boot splash agian (w/shark, forgot how much i miss the look :mrgreen: it also looks like the "touch pro 2' txt has a shawdow makin it pop (dont remember this) but whether new or old looks good

1st thing i check was rss tab, like the idea and wanted to test out. i went to rss app then set up my 1 feed, engadget, refresh it and exit. then go to rss tab and hit list (left softkey) but get error (unauthorized access exception at system.io._error.winioerror(int32errorcode,string str)at system.io.file.delete(string path)at rssutil.program.debuglog(string message,string type)at rssutil.program.main(string args) get this same error when in menu/filter & rss app & settings. noticed you posted a fix for something but it didnt seem for this?

edit: also noticed no rss tab lnk in start menu?

No, the fix was not for that. I've never gotten that error before. I'll try and choose that feed and see what happens...

Oh that (supposed to look like) shadowy reflection of the Touch Pro 2 has always been there. I think the shark makes it pop out a bit more though.
