OK - no worries - not a big deal. I can just click launch browser and use the favorites within Opera. I will post an update this weekend if I see anything else with the ROM. Like I said before - solid work.

Wanted to start out by saying this is the first rom i have used that works the way its supposed to. granted i could have tweaked the others too much lol. i di however start having problems with the last one you put out with the email alert going off non stop when i got an email though. anyway now im off to read up on task 29. i have never used it and im wondering how much of a difference it will really make. oh yah almost forgot! love the 80s music ringtones!

In a nutshell... whenever you flash a ROM tiny bits of it can be left on the phone, then you flash another on top of that and some traces of it may be left as well, then you flash someone else's ROM and that ROM leaves behind a tiny bit of info. too. Next thing you know you're having these weird issues like the email notification going off non stop, which I've never had on any of my ROMs.

Task29 is like a super cleaner. It wipes the phone totally clean of any traces of previous ROMs/software/registry etc... So that when you install a ROM, you're installing it on a fresh, squeaky clean slate versus on top of bits and pieces of old information.

That's my understanding of it anyway. For this reason, I don't think it's necessary to Task29 if your reflashing the exact same ROM. It's only laying down the exact same information. Unless of course the reason you're reflashing is because something is F'ed up to begin with. In which case, yes, you should Task29 that sucker.

i downloaded your sprint 6.5 and flashed it.. i usually google sync my contacts and calendar through activesync. i set up the same way for this rom also, but when i click on the "sync" .. its not attempting to connect at all. any idea whats going on? otherwise i like the layout and such. I am a long time vindows user, just wanted to try yours and see how it goes

i have a disableslidewakeup.cab. what this is supposed to do is not wake up the phone when i slide the keyboard out when the phone is locked.. it helps me a lot and stops my a$$ from dialing numbers.. anyway.. i install this in vin's rom, it works as it supposed to. i have it installed on yours now, its not working. when i slide the keyboard it wakes up the phone and goes into the home screen. anyway to avoid this?

Man this ROM is wicked fast and so far everything seems to be working great. The only flaw I have noticed was in Settings/Personal/Buttons....the Virtual Buttons tab doesn't display correctly. Not a big deal for me. I will defenitely be running this ROM for a while. SharkieROM 3.0 Generic 6.5.x

Thanks for trying me out! Can you post that cab so I can have a look at it? Maybe then I can figure it out. I remember someone else mentioning this issue a while back.
Yeah, I'm not sure about the display in the the buttons screen. I believe it has something to do with my theme. Glad you're enjoying it otherwise. :)

cab is attached. this cab works on all the roms that i have tried except yours and energy.. dont know why..

everywhere i have looked, it tells me to edit the HKLM/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/KEYBD/slidewakeup to 0. that registry is already there.. so not sure whats the deal. i have tried with and without the cab(directly editing the registry)

i do have to tell you. this Rom looks great. with all the apps loaded and cht. i still get good amount of free memory.. seems pretty fast too. i havent tried 6.5.x i am a big 6.5 fan.

All that cab is, is the registry settings you mentioned. I'll put this issue on my to do list. It seems like it'd be an easy fix. We'll see... Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
