It only happens occasionally. I did a soft reset and did absolutely nothing except 2 text and email and it happened again. I am trying to track the issue, but I am not having any luck...

I have had that issue with almost every rom I have flashed. Not very often, but it happens. Seems like it happens more when connecting/disconnecting USB headphones than anything else, but I have had it happen in the middle of the day for no reason as well.

Like a broken record did you try using Task29 see if that helps?

Running the chef's choice. Very minor FYI. I had to enable widgets before I could install any from the windows marketplace. Running very smooth. Thanks for all the work you put into these.
