doubting it as activesync works on different roms, and with my wife's phone. poss the device itself? but5 seems like it was just the rom as the diff roms would work. who knows

Mine happened 2 times. Hard flash; did a soft reset, provisioning came up did that. No cab loaded though; On the Second soft reset, it did provisioning screen again then ran calkulins sprint rom thingy. The calkulin (sp) did not run the first soft reset.

My understanding is that the lighter the image on the phone, the less power is used by the phone. LCD displays are lit by white light, and colored pixels are actuated to change the color of that light at specific locations.

White pixels = no energy used to modify the already white light, which is always on when the monitor is on.

Colored pixels = more energy used to change the color of the white light to a different color.

Traditional CRT screens worked differently; they were naturally dark and energy was required to light specific parts of the screen. This is why Blackle is a great idea if you are using a CRT monitor (except for the aesthetics), but a horrible idea in a world full of LCD displays.

In short - the whiter your LCD, the less power it will likely require to keep it that way.

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but when I'm typing stuff into say an appointment or typing in an email address and password that when typing it shows up blank?

when you writing a text messages you can see it but if you touch the screen one time more, now appears what are writing, for the send key try to change the script type it works for mine.

Having the same blank text issue.

Also the task manager, does not work correctly, it just kills itself when you click on it, only happens when there are no programs running in the background.

On the email page the icons for delete, then for reply are screwed up.

Im using the MaxManila Black/White Theme ROM. Its pretty sweet. The only 2 things i cant figure out is how to change the wallparer if possible. And to disable the annoying SMS sen notification. Ive used 2 defferent reg editors and even tried advanced config tool. Any help will be much appreciated.

Got the wallpaper figured out.

Maaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! After watching the youtube video #6, this thing looks like a BEEEAAAASSSSTTTT!!!! I am surprised it moved that fast with all the stuff loaded to make it look the way it looks, the interface is unreal!!!!!

All the beta testers heard from max was "No Release" no one knows except max when a hard timeline could be.

I was wondering the same thing. I am on Boostmobile and i posted a question about the mms and was totally ignored. Even though Boost runs on Sprint, the arcsoft you have to use is totally different.

I'm almost positive it hasn't been, last i heard (posted by BiGnAdAd) it was almost done. Max is 'optimizing' it for speed. should be released soon :headbang:

Latest cookie mod is much better than before and Ive been using it since the release. Makes sense to make a BigCookie version. Thanks Big and here's to hoping MaxSense is released into the wild soon :headbang:

Here's a .cab file that will fix your MMS.. (I've had to re install it after I soft-reset each time).. kind of a PITA but it makes it work :)

I think what has frustrated people waiting for this UI is the recent lack of communication. People knew it was close to release, then there was a wait without explination. Posts like this one are very appreciated, as is all the hard work being done for free on the UI. People are excited about this and it is starting to show :)

well in my opinion there has be too much communication.too much teasing when its not that close to being released. im in no way rushing anything i would have hold off on talking about the project till you where a week close to letting it lose.


kinda like the unlocker... we kept hearing it was coming but it didnt come...lol


not bashing you Big causing im looking forward to this but you know what i am saying....

im not one to rush cause i know people have a life and do this for fun but all this talk and nothing get to people ( not me)


over all things look really good.... i think this rom will do very well and i thank you and Max (who ever else worked on this) for everything you have done........

big +1 screenshot after screenshot is very old imo, when its close post our options as in colors ect. but week after week of same thing is tough. photobucket saves all your screenshots so no issue there.

I have to agree with you totally on this one. There have been times in the past when I know mods have closed a thread that contained the title "coming soon". I know in this case, Big's hands are tied because he don't wanna release his version of this until the official release of the UI but then again, if that is the case, update it with something more than coming soon, or don't update it at all.

What made it particularly frustrating for me was the way the beta testing was handled. There were people that got a chance on the beta test that were not in a position to actually test it (don't know enuff about roms to give a valid opinion) and it took up the spot for a real tester like me!

Anywho, I will keep checking the "coming soon" updates to actually see if I can get a bead on when this is actually coming!
