Its ok, I guess the problem is using Adv Config to tweak data disconnect settings.

Maybe its time not to use data disconnect settings.

Im downloading 4.1 now.Ive really liked this rom and have been using it ever since it was in its early beta stages and evry update of the rom has only gotten better.Ive been using version 4 since it was released,actually i think was the 1st to download it,and its been a rock so far.The only negative thing ive noticed is that with Advance Configurator its very easy to break ur phone if u arent careful when changing settings in there and also u can make ur phone function eratically with HD Tweak if ur not careful when changing settings in it also.I think Advance Configurator can cause problems because its initially a GSM app/program or maybe because its installed in 2 seperate places in the rom?Im not sure if HD Tweak is a GSM program initially or not.But i do know that ive altered settings in both programs at seperate times to see if it was just one or both that were having a negative effect on my phone.The biggest and really only negative effect ive had by altering some settings in either program is that some settings changes to either app/program make my phone not work during calls,nobody can hear me and i cant hear them.So if u change settings in either Advance Configurator or HD Tweak make only one or two changes at a time and then test out ur device and make sure it functions properly still.I finally had to do a hard reset on my phone and then install all my cabs one at a time and then i just left the Advance Config. and HD Tweak apps alone except for just 3 settings i changed and its been a rock ever since.Cant wait to try the 4.1 version.Is there a lite version of 4.1?when i downloaded 4.1 the only link was for the full versio which is fine.its usually the version i use,or try 1st.Thanks again for the new release and please keepem coming.Im glad that u dont cook in cookiemonster or maxmanilla that way if someone still wants to use it then they can install them via cab.the cookie app has made me not even try alot of decent roms just because i dont like the cookiemonster much at all.Id rather not even use it.It just effects my phone negatively too much and i dont even like the look or function of the cookie app.Im glad the rom is still compatible with Maxmanila,because i do like Maxmanilla tho.Thanks again for the new release of my new favorite rom.Excellent work.

well i spoke too soon when i mentioned that the new 4.1 version would probably be compatible with maxmanila 3.0 like all the other previous versions have been.I downloaded 4.1, then flashed it too my TP2,setup my data connection,gps,and hopefully mms,and then i began installing all the cabs i like to use regularly.but when i got to Maxmanila 3.0 i discovered that when it installed it clearly was no longer compatible with 4.1.I know maxmanila 3.0 is for sense 2.5.2011 and this rom is 2.5.2012 but maxmanila 3.0 always did work on the previous builds which i thought were also 2.5.2012 versions as well,but i could be wrong.Is there any big upgrades or updates in the new 4.1 build that is noticeably better than the 4.0 version.Other than the obvious changes.Do they both use the same d3d drivers,CDMA dialer still.I noticed that the GPS location on setting in the dialer options menu is now a bit smaller and nicer and it doesnt seem to reset itself after a soft reset.Even tho i didnt hav to hav it turned on for my GPS to work,so thats a definite improvement.Now if Maxy would just update maxmanila now then id be set.Im gonna give the rom a test for a few days and if i dont notice a good difference in the new 4.1 rom compared to 4 then i might go back to 4 again,maybe ill try the light version this time,because i do like maxmanila and it doesnt seem to be compatible with 4.1.oh well it still seems to be a great rom.Thanks alot for keeping the new releases coming and as long as u continue to produce quality,stable,fast roms with plenty of eye candy im not going to switch roms anytime soon.This has been my new favorite rom since the second beta version released.Its come a long way and i cant wait to see where u take it.Thanks again.

Not sure why max manila would work with 4.0 but not 4.1! I didnt change the version number as there was no major changes, except for a few here and there.

Ofcourse, I did add Facebook and Call History tabs to manila, and that could have caused it!](*,)

The black dialer for the new phone layout as the dialer has changed in the new build. and I went to the link for the slider tabs you use, but there was no update for the facebook tab.

Was the data connection working with 4.0? Check to see if the prov cab has installed.

It it was working for 4.0, then it should work for 4.1 as well. I didnt change anything in 4.1.

almost every rom i flash does same thing.not sure why this is odd? when weather updates or i goto opera it turns on, or are you saying it doesnt turn on?

I have never had the switch turn off by itself on any rom I have been on. Its always on

both roms im using now(juggs 2.5/vins 6.5x) turn off, i just checked to be sure.(softreset)

the last mighty's, NRG and Juggs never did that for me.

So what you are saying is everytime you soft reset, you cannot get any data unless you manually go into the comm manager and turn it on? or it turns on automatically for you?

I have never had to do this on any other rom before, why would someone want it defaulted off?

like i said, turns on automatically when mail comes in or weather updates or i open opera. i never goto commanager except to turn data off or i softreset and that turns it off.

not sure why you wouldnt want it off by default, saves battery plus comes on by itself when needed.

There's a fix for it over at XDA (post #9).

Apparently the problem is with the mode9.dll.

Once you install MaxManila, Disable Manilla (which keeps the dll from being in use) then put the patched dll file into your windows folder (overwrite the existing one), and soft reset.

They didn't mention the disabling Manila part in the post and that's where I got stuck for the longest! lol But I got it working. The rom ran slower after installing MaxManila at first, but after a couple of soft resets it works fine. I would post the file but I keep getting errors, the link to the file is there though.

Ok, I know why!

I was playing with CFC for manila, and I think thats what caused it to MaxManila not to work.

I have made a cab, of what the above user shared. Install that after installing Maxmanila, and soft reset.

Credit goes to TPC for this. I just made the cab.

Yea I released this version, and saw that newer myphone! Dang, I will updated to the newer version in the next released. Also Bing seems to have newer version as well!

Data connection by default will be off on SR for any ROM. Unless you have enabled connection to stay on all the time. You can do so, using HDTweak, and just leave connection on all the time.

I just realized that JMZ does not show options for US Cellular and stuff. I will look into this, and update before the next release. I guess 23551 is out! So maybe a new version tomorrow???:headbang:

i didnt know that u were gonna experiment with cfc compression or i would have tried the mode 9 dll patch.I remember that i asked about cfc compression a while back when the rom was still in early beta stages and u said u werent gonna try it yet.Im glad u did tho.I dont know if that has anything to do with the lower slider being quite a bit faster now or not.But the lower slider has virtually no lag to it at all on the 4.1 build.Im reflashing from 4 to 4.1 again and im gonna try out the cab u posted earlier to enable maxmanila.The first time i flashed the 4.1 build i didnt think that it was much different than the 4 build until i flashed back to the 4.0 build.The biggest thing i noticed was that there was no more lag at all with the slider and the really nice looking dialer.I also noticed that it seemed like internet pages tended to load faster over the EVDO connection.The wifi speed still seemed the same as before,but the wifi speed has always been very fast with this rom on my TP2.Thanks for the cab to enable maxmanila.It will be easier for most to install the new patched cab u made than it will for the rest to copy and paste install the mode 9dll patch in windows.Thankls again for the cab.And for looking into why maxmanila wouldnt function with the 4.1 rom.The user support for this rom has been excellent as well.Thats another reason that this rom has become my new everyday rom for the past 3 weeks or so and the updates just keep getting better.Although i think that even the lite rom should still include Microsofts MyPhone.and not PIM backup.alot of people use MyPhone simply because it requires no storage card and its on virtually every rom so its a good contacts installer. But thats not hard to fix.U can always install the latest version of MyPhone from Marketplace.So no big deal.Still the only real negative thing about this rom for me is that both Advance Configurator and HD Tweak have settings that if i alter them it will break my phone so that during a phone call i cant hear anyone and they cant hear me.So i just leave about %90 of those settings alone because in their default settings the rom runs just fine.Its only when i start to alter some settings that it affects my device.But i still love the rom.

I dont have Verizon! And I honestly dont know whats broken to fix. If you want to give me a detailed explanation, it will be real helpful. I will see what I can do to fix it.

I am glad CFC makes a difference for you. I didnt think it made that much of a difference. But indeed 4.1 is a lot faster than 4.0. So I guess I am sticking with CFC version for now!;)

I will add myphone in all my ROMs moving forward. I dont think I am going to make anymore LITE ROM. I dont think there is much support for them.

i reflashed 4.1 again and this time put the mode 9dll file in windows and then reinstalled maxmanila 3.0 and everything worked great.I also tried the cab u made and that works excellent and makes enabling maxmanila on cfc compressed roms easy.Thanks for making the cab.Its gonna be a big help on this rom as well as many others i think.Right now im using the cab instead of placing the Mode 9dll file in windows.Its just alot easier and does everything necessary for u to install maxmanilla again.The only negative thing ive found so far and i guess its not really anything negative but my icon on the top taskbar always shows that the data connection is on even when i know its off.Ive tried a hard-reset and that didnt work and then i even reflashed 4.1 again and that didnt work either and the only different cab that im using is the Bhars enable maxmanila cab and the Bhars enable EV icon cab.everything else is identical to the settings ive been using since the beta builds with never any problems.Other than the icon the rom is great.thanks again for another great rom.the new 4.1 rom is my new everyday rom,especialy now that we can use maxmanila with it now.Keep up the great work and i cant wait to see what comes next.Also so far as long as i dont change too many settings in HDTweak or Adance Configurations the rom is a rock on the Cricket Network,plus the default settings are pretty good already.The default settings are about %90 the way id set them up anyway.But changing some of the settings still breaks my phone during a call,i cant hear them and they cant hear me.So i just leav almost all of the settings in their default positions and everythings works great.But those 2 programs/apps have always given me problems on virtually every rom if certain settings are altered in them.So i dont expect any different now.Great rom tho.Thanks again.

the first couple times i flashed 4.1 i did it from the sd-card and the top icon always shows that the data connection is on even when its off.So i think that its probably a bad flash/sd-card, because nobody else is having the same problem so im going to reflash 4.1 from my laptop and see if that makes a difference with the icon?

Data connection is actually off. It is the same way for me too. I think it looks like it is on icon wise, after I made that tweak for slide to answer!

i've tested this and here's some recommendations.

remove: windows taskbar dropdown permanantly.
remove: xperia task manager

use: Arkswitch 1.1.4 as task manager
use: ninjaduck finger friendly bootloader icon instead of enterboot
update: htcaddicts cleanram to v2.1

sprint official rom has the phonepad keyboard icon in the middle fixed. perhaps you can look up the necessary files to fix the graphic issue for the keypad icon in the phone screen

also witness sleep of death issue once
