Thanks for trying my ROM out ... the one thing that I noticed in your small review of my ROM is that you said all of the apps you need from stock are not there... they are located on the first page of this thread.

Second battery usage... I have done some things to my ROM that may pull usage in a different way than X or Mighty ... that part is true but the drainage is no different, in conclusion I will say that I did not try to make this ROM stock nor try to compete with anybody else so when it comes to things like folder organization thats their way and how I have it in my ROM is mine.

Was I the only one that was annoyed reading CYoung's post?! People need to remember that JD makes ROM's for himself, if you like it customize it to what you want, if you don't then move on to another ROM. At least JD was kind enough to attach cabs of the apps he left out. If you don't like the way the folders are setup then rearrange things to the way you like.

I have had no problems with charging or battery life on this ROM. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no back softkey when I go into start > settings, but I use Titanium anyway and it isn't that big of a deal for me.

JD - thanks for the reply, and you are correct - I did not read page 1 of your thread closely enough to note that had I installed the WiFi Router from there, that it would show up in the COMM settings, which I usually have as a quick select. The battery thing mystifies me, but when I get a chance I will reload your ROM to try to replicate it and use Battery Monitor to see if I can figure out what might be going on. It may have just been due to me freshly loading the ROM and it being the first charging cycle or something.

Jason25, I am sorry that you took offense to my post. I did not post it to offend anyone - I was posting my observations after using his ROM. I will try to read the page one info more thoroughly when I get time.

with jd's permission i have some ringers/alerts i got from flyers2114 from the moment and three from mals rom if its ok and anybody wants them ill upload.

No worries, just remember that the only ROM that is going to be perfect for YOU is the one that you build for yourself. JD just happens to make ROM's that are more closely suited to my needs...that and the 95% of the time they work great, if they don't he usually has a fix for us.

You shouldn't have to worry about offending any one here, everyone is entitled to their opinion and it seems that you have at least taken the time to make a clear observation about the ROM and know what you are looking for. Welcome to PPCGeeks. :occasion5:

I like mal's email sound. I'm kind of bland tho. I keep my same rings and msging sounds on every flash so I never have to change em. have em copied to device and I import the reg thru sashimi.

On another note, this rom was flying when I was on it. might just be the fastest 2.5 rom. Msging is quick as hell. Only reason I switched is b/c I prefer 6.5.x and igo8 tts doesn't work on this rom. Weird b/c it worked on JD's 2.1 rom b4.
