thanks, but thats the one im using already, seems to not work on programs that come preinstalled. im guessing cuz they are specially made icons so the "box" around it is part of the icon and not just a bg.

oh, your only using 3 row, omg why?

u mean 3 row in the start menu? yes, but thats how it came and I find it easiest that way cuz they r bigger. but all the quicklinks that came preinstalled have the bg. like the marketplace icon cant just be the blue bag by itself, its the blue bag but with a gray bg

I believe that's the icon itself you're referring to and if that's the case, you can't remove the "background" since it's not a background, you'd have to mod the icon itself.

Ya, i firgured out how to do that the first night of fiddling, and modded the weather location list. Ive loaded the 3/3/10 release, and had it running a few day, tried the Mightrom also, and then noticed i wasnt trying the latest of the Mr.X, so figured id give it a stab, which lead to this problem. Your right, it's a very nice rom, just seems rather odd that in.. what now, 478+ pages, there was no other mentions of the same error im recieving, makes me wonder if i got a gimpy phone?

I use this driver, but didn't install a different display. When you hit the battery, it will tell you in 1% increment levels (just not visible from the home page, but that doesn't matter to me, I still get the % hitting the battery).
