How did you end up fixing it? That is one of the biggest gripes for me with this rom. The others would be that my phone will suffer from the SOD after phone calls every once and awhile. If my screen doesn't come back on before I press the hardware end key, my screen won't turn back on until I soft reset it. Those are the only two things I have trouble with.

just browse to windows\Animated Wallpapers, copy the one labled "light" & place it in ur documements or wherever & change name to mrx black.jpg or something & you should be cool. id do it for ya, just not on the ROM right now :)

i think he just wants the default mr x aninated wall, just no animation? i think that wall is just a png & the mr x animation floating around is seperate... so you might just be able to copy it out of that directoty, change the name and be good...?

edit: just remembered, it's not 480x800 though, so you'll need to stretch it a lil verticly.

Have a question for the educated among us... why, even after a flash 29, when I reinstall this (and probably other) ROMS, my bluetooth devices on the phone remain? What I mean is, when I go to bluetooth for the first time, on the phone com manager menu, there's my car, my laptop and my headset, even though they may not talk to the phone as this rom identifies the phone with a different name.

I thought Flash29 would/should wipe everything off the phone. My procedure is: flash29, manually put phone in bootloader, and run the Rom's update utility.

I still have the issue on this rom of Notification manager coming up when I'm in a call- I'm thinking: if the bluetooth info stayed, other info could have and is mucking this up.

I wanted to install it but it say its for manilla versions 2.5.2015/16 and this rom uses 2.5.2013.
Maybe it will be included in the next rom?

Sorry for the delay, somehow I had not seen this reply come through e-mail and thanks for the answer!

Couldn't get it to work with the GPS info you gave me I tried various ports, all TOMTOM functions, couldn't get it to work.

The CAB I am installing is: TT Nav 7.450.9028 VGA black

As I was going on vacations soon with the little family, I had to revert to another ROM. But I will be back testing yours as soon as back from vacations!

Have this rom installed for few hours now and playing with different settings and this thing rocks (thanks X), zooms through all the different functions lot quicker even though I have animated weather enabled.

anyone ever figure out whats causing the SOD? mine arent too bad, they happen from time to time, and i usually dont have to soft reset, just wait a min or so and it'll come back. Did anyone find out if its a cht 1.8 issue or a ROM issue?

it works on cdma? not sure if thats even a issue with mms but wanna be sure.

Well, I gotta say. I have always avoided CHT with a passion, but I got bored this weekend and put 1.8 on the ROM. I gotta say dudes, sorry for bashin it LOl. This CHT is so cool. I think its a great compliment to the Mr. X ROM.

It seems to work great, but you are right there is no mms.
So I'm uninstalling and hoping to see it in the next Mr. X release :mrgreen:

Quick Question. While in Sense is there a way to change how long you must stay at a text message before it mark's it as red? My work location doesn't allow me to carry my phone so when I get back to it I might have 10 unred messages, I flip through them until I get to the one's that I feel like replying too. Say the first 3 are B.S and I flip to the 4th one it still has the first 3 as unred. Anyway to make them unred at like 1 second?

just upgraded yesterday from the April Mr.X rom,
strangely the device keeps automatically reset + hard resetting randomly after I get everything setup! This has happened 3-4 times already and I tried reflashing from scratch too. I have a feeling there's a hardware issue on my end since nobody else seems to have had this problem.
stuff installed: g-alarm 2.6, bing

Had a strange thing last night after flashing to BigMaxSense to try it out and mess around, I did the usual flash back to stock+clear reset+hard reset and flash to X, and the sound did not work at all! Flashed again and she's all good but that was a bit of a scare...

i dont get why you guys go through so much bs to flash? i do nothing close to all this and you rarely see me posting issues. task29/flash/clear storage and i never use task29 unless i had a problem. ive only used it once.

COUNT ME IN all i do is clear storage. only problem i had was my hspl was messed up. reflashed that and ive never had a problem after that.

Count me not in. I do the same procedure as you all, but I get the SOD every once and awhile. Specifically after a phone call and I use the hardware end key. After then when I go to sleep its no turning back until I soft reset.

Also, igo8 and tomtom don't seem to work. Google maps and bing work fine.

Other than that, I am very impressed with Mr. X and his roms. This is the most trouble I have had and only one of them is extremely bad (gps issue. I have reverted to using the software end key even though it feels weird).

Try running Task 29 then re-flashing. I *bet* you it will fix it.

I'm not sure why others are recommending to not run Task 29.

Once upon a time in the MightyRom thread, MightyMike himself was made a believer.... (using a stock rom to do the "flash dance") :)

Here is what I do to text.
. Slide open keyboard and start typing the name of who I want to text.
Then i click the little icon and then i go into the menu with the threaded text. This just seems to be cumbersome to get to a THREADED text screen.

Here is what i run into or I think would be nice.
--When i slide open the screen and type right away.. sometimes it misses the first letter or two (most likely because landscape is loading) so I will type "reachal" and it will pick up "achal"
--The sense menu at the bottom with the threaded text is hidden in landscape. Is there a way to make it show permanently?
-- Sometimes in the process just after typing their name and when I try to push the icon down, i accidentally call them instead and it always seems to go through even though i am hitting the hang up button.
-I would also like it to go to the threaded msg area always. There seems to be 2 different text programs.. One is threaded the other is a new msg with their number automatically at the top. I really the icon to go to the threaded area... is this possible?

I hear you on the flash29 confusion- I bet I could point to 100 posts with the suggestion of 'flash29 idiot'. It sounds to me like you may have a bad/old version of the hpsl unlocker. I'd check that you have the latest. Stickied on front page of TP2 forum I think.

I'm not telling you don't do it, I've recommended it to many and I'm sure Darren, Flyers and Psycho have also. I'm telling you I don't do it, have never done it (but I have the task29 that Ziggy fixed up on my phone and pc), just haven't had a need to do it. If I was having issues like others, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but it's never been needed for me. I think it's another great tool to have in our arsenal of tools, to be used when needed.

Fishing, Darren, Flyers and the Psycho know their stuff- if I gave any other impression, it was unintentional. General consensus usually is: if it's happening to X's ROM, and he hasn't fixed it within a day of release- it's either a bad flash (hpsl unlocker or bad download), leftover sh*t from a previous rom, (and flash29 can take care of that) or user error/installed crap.

Wow so many great roms coming out. you guys are the bomb. Just flashing Mr X rom, can't wait to try it. I hope it's faster, the latency of aqll the sprint crap really sucks.

yea there are multiple text programs, and yes it is very annoying. here is what i do...first, I have cht set up, i have a text icon on my home page which goes directly to the threaded sms. also, i have an entire page of cht set up to be shortcuts to the main ppl i text, that way its just one tap and ur sending them a msg. hope that helps.

as for task29, i dont use it till i have a issue that isnt my mistake. ive used task29 one time and it worked perfect but i and others dont use it till we have a problem and i dont do all the crazy shit some of you do before i flash. if it aint broke i dont fix it.http://www.pic4ever.com/images/afro.gif
