agreed, this rom rocks, ms3 is delightfully quick and very eye catching...lots of new programs i never used like slacker radio..wow...Formula has a lot of the right ingredients....thanks Zap keep me posted!

By the way... i was reading a few posts back about xTask and a few others. I had assumed I was on the latest beta (I downloaded a Verizon specific build I saw in here somewhere...) does that mean I'm on Beta 1 or Beta 2?

Beta v1 your on, the V2 I used an updated All Carriers selection that contains an updated Verizon Carrier Cab from Calkulin.

With regards to the Google Search Widget issue this is tied to having only Opera 10 included instead of both Opera 9.7 and 10 going to cook them both in the release build hoping to drop it shortly.

oh boy or oh no? heheh just when i get my phone setup the way i want too formula comes back with more. What sort of suprises are around the corner? I LOVE the ram usage on the beta v2 even though it sucked at the beginning for some reason... I think i'm going to use sbp mobile backup to get an image of my phone so i can restore it to this perfection later. Only issue I have had since the ram/no volume issues that have cleared themselves up is a minor keyboard open/close shutdown bug... it happens in various things even just the mobileshell home screen, but i hardly use my kb anymore due to swype so its non-impacting...

any idea what the keyboard open/close problem is formula? known issue in caulkins kitchen? Personally i could care less about landscape on all screens if that is the destabilizing issue. my spb landscape screens are all jacked up anyway due to my custom icon building... (maybe thats whats doing it?) isn't that just a reg entry change?

Keyboard issues may be due to Sywpe I have not had problems but I remeber in Calk's thread a while back with Swype 2.0 some people were having random resets. Could be something else though. I doubt you MS config has anything to do with it, when you change your Layouts they always get screwed up in landscape. I did take to time on the release roms to do my best with lining up the lanscape layouts.

The new beta's comming out tonight are the same as v2 but are just stock MS cooked in. I am also releasing a lite edition that only has the core needed items for those that don't like all the apps, will see if its even worth it.

The "lite" looks nice. I may have missed it...but are the add-on widgets part of it? Those were great.

No not yet I am still playing around with the Integration of cooking the new widget manager.

The Lite and MS353_S roms dropping tonight only change I made was changing the D3D driver back to chainfire as it seems to play nicer with 23541. And obviously it is the stock mobile shell instead of my customized themed version to save on ram and allow the end user to add whatever they want, not originally what my goal was but it is not to hard to have a couple versions so we'll see. If you wanna check out this lite version for me and tell me if it is too lite so I can revise for the release rom that would be great. I personally use the "loaded" or normal version I have dropped in the past so I need someone to look at the lite and tell me if I am missing core items.

Also I have note changed xTask layout but probably will in the release.

New Roms up for testing these are stock MS builds without my add-ons so you may add and customize or leave stock plenty of free ram 90+MB, Also added a "lite" rom. These are all Carrier builds so should work for everyone.

The lite might be great for some folks (me?) that don't use a lot of different tasks with their phone. I do think it might be a little light in the widgets...yes, they take up some RAM...but that's what makes this ROM so special (IMO).

I did notice a couple of things:
1. I had used the same kitchen. For some reason, cooking in MS, that MobileSense does not recognize the install location. It says something like "MS 3.5.2 is not installed...." I didn't try any others.

2. The first boot is very fast (great)...but it slips by the provisioning. I did notice in the upper left corner of the task bar was a blue/white box. Click on that with the stylus and the provisioning screen comes up.

So...in summary..I would "fatten up" lite with the same mixture of widgets you had always had...and it's good to go for those not too "app crazy".

It's a pc active sync issue, when I plug the usb into the phone the sync screen comes up with the 3 selections, after proper selection the pc side of active synce will just sit there looking for changes or it will eventually say this....

Active sync cannot connect to the windows mobile powered device (Windows XP)

I also attempted on Mobile device center on windows 7, I can connect to the phone and browse contents but still get sync errors

Methods attempted: 2 USB cables, Different USB ports, Active Sync, Mobile device center, soft reset, hard reset, shutdown and restart device.

Rom Version: 23529.Generic.v3
