I like this effort (v2). Seems to be a bit snappier. I'll try to rrun it thru some paces to see what this bad boy can do with more ram.

Its only saves about 10 - 15MB on average but I have loaded it a little more with other widgets.

Best thing to do with apps that need alot of ram iGO, etc. Simply close Mobile Shell (New Beta has Vostrodomus' "Tools" built in, under Start -> Tools -> Vostrodomus -> Exit Shell)(or the new Professional Middle Screen has a quick link for this(exit and restart shell) this will free up about 40MB with this version or 50-55MB with the released version. Its crazy how much RAM is used with the shell but I love it and even with the released rom having 45-50MB free has never been a problem for me, but if I need the ram I can quickly close and reopen when i need too.

p.s sorry about the beta being on Deposit Files I am at work and FTP is blocked!

Yeah usually after 1-2 days is the real test for any rom. (as the data is building up. texts etc..) Keep us posted vegasden.

Loving the official release so far though. Besides the few things you have to wait for a few secs.. everything else works really good so far!

Hey,

Can you cook in the 1% battery driver into the ROM instead of the default 10%?

Hey Formula...love your rom. I'm on verizon and I have the same keyboard issue with the function and shift key being non-functional. I tried to flash back to stock and then reflash your rom and I get the same problem (even with a hard reset or 2 in there). Then I tried using the rom without running JMZ Carrier selection and guess what NO KEYBOARD problem! Do I really need to run the carrier selection, I tried to place a call and text, which both work fine. The only thing I didnt try was MMS...Ill try it and get back to you.

What does JMZ Carrier selection actually do??

OK so heres the deal. If you do not run JMZ carrier selection, the only thing I found wrong was that MMS did not work. Am I missing anything else???

The next thing i did was install a MMS fix from NRGZ28 energy leo http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=86489

That fixed the MMS....BUT when i tried the keyboard, the layout was off and certain button performed other functions (the shift and function keys worked).

So i took advice from deck's SSS rom and did a reg edit to fix the keyboard layout. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=102660

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME\Keyboard LayouFiles]
"07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.Sprint_WWE.kmap.txt"
change to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME\Keyboard LayouFiles]
"07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.VERIZON_WWE.kmap.txt"

UNFORTUNATELY, when i did that the keyboard was fixed but the shift and function keys no longer worked. Back to square 1...darn

ANY IDEAS??? please help, i love this rom but i need the keyboard to work and mms

thanks!

Forumla84, love this rom, dude. It really takes this phone to the next level for me. Great work with the mobile shell too. I have a dumb question!!! How to I map the long end key press to the standard windows lock. I use to be able to do in under buttons but not its not there. Again thanks for the great work with this rom.

Seems the Long Press End Key PKG i updated does not work properly, you could always use RKeyboardControl found at XDA its a great app for setting you Hardware keys to have multiple functions. (I Use this and thats why I didn't notice the bug. It will be resolved in the next rom rollout which will be soon, working on finalizing my new beta to a 23541 final.
