Not sure if this helps you, but I have been watching NRGZ's thread as well and they all seem to be having mms issues as well. One had said that VW had done some updates and then mms quit working after that. It wasn't after installing a new rom that it quit, but overnight it had quit even on existing rom's. The issue seems to be wide spread.

no i mean. all of a suddun no sound ringer , answer call no sound we cant hear each other. till after soft reset. has happend twice. file explorer freezes after i been on it for a min or 2 installing things. have to pull battery or push reset button.

Thanks for the input. I've come to believe that it's nothing to do with the rom (not that I ever did). I was just reporting back to jstine what I had encountered. If I was a conspiracy type of guy, I'd suspect VZW of finding a way to block non-stock roms from mms (but I don't know why they would care, LOL).

I'm not sure what you meant about releasing a version without any carrier but IMHO it's been easier to provision using the methods you've been using. There are (very) many provisioning cabs out there and if everyone starts using different ones, it'll be that much harder to troubleshoot. Just my thoughts.

I might have encountered an issue similar to Hunter's. I flashed back to 4.1, reset factory settings, and soft reset (using shutxp). I did the carrier (VZW) provisioning and soft reset again (per procedure). After the soft reset, when I pressed the end key it would only vibrate (i.e. no shutxp). I went to the menu and ran shutxp to do another soft reset. When it completed, the sound was on vibrate (not silent but close LOL). I flashed again with the same process and verified it.

I did not have an issue with volume on a phone call though.

For now, I'm going to go back to v4. It seemed to be more stable (in the 18 hours I had it flashed).
Edit: Same behavior in v4, switched to vibrate after soft reset via shutxp.

Edit: BTW, I did find a couple of threads that discussed the MMS issue with VZW. They didn't give the exact same error message but it's probably the same thing. Thanks to Harvick for pointing me in the right direction.

I see you changed the wolf in the analog clock, but it only appears when you choose the dual analog option in maxmanilla and not when using the analog/digital option. Not big deal at all but I like the wolf in the clock. Can you fix this?

Hey jstine671, I flashed V3 with activesync and I never got a chance to try and flash V4.1. Still have V3 since flashing it on Feb. 24. I don't know how to flash back to the stock rom or do a hard reset. Moreover my screen is stuck on the words Touch Pro 2. Want to know what to do so I can do the flashing back to stock rom and then to V4.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million!

I think going to do a complete re-build using the same xip used in V3.2. 23532 was the best rom, stable and fast.

jstine671, I did what you told me to do and I was able to flash The V4 Rom onto my phone. My phone's not locked up anymore and I'm enjoying the new rom thanks to you. You sure know what you're doing and thanks to you I'm able to enjoy my phone the way it was intended to be enjoyed. I am very grateful, thanks a billion!!!!!!!!!!
