Hot on the heels of my question to Vin was this post on WPCentral.com:
HTC T9199 ('Oboe') announced for China; WM6.5.3 still not dead | Windows Phone Central

Just an FYI.

I remember when Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7 they said their strategy was for Win7 and Wind 6.5 to coexist, with 7 taking the high end market and 6.5 continuing to power mid-level phones for some time. Maybe they are following through with that plan.

Just more FYI, the Sense 2019 core in the title of this thread comes from Oboe. There have been several leaked Oboe roms for at least a month or two now.

I noticed that the Oboe's specs were for a GSM/CDMA phone. I'm basically married to Sprint and am wondering if anyone here may know whether this phone, in theory, would be able to be unlocked and then activated on Sprint.

I noted that while my Touch Pro2 is a CDMA/GSM phone that this is a GSM/CDMA phone. I don't know whether the order makes any difference or indeed whether there is a CDMA band incompatiblity.

Sprint will only activate Sprint phones as far as I know. The ESN needs to be in their system and it's hard/impossible to get them to just add one to it.

Vin, love your rom's. 2019 plut no cht (yes, I know no cht because of bugs on 2.0) but ended up having a few too many issues (mem and batti---yes, even with the cabs to correct). patiently waiting for you to cook 2.x cht in when its completed.
and btw--there is absolutely no way in hell i could even come up with the great products you do. You are a master of your craft VIN

Only issue in your latest offering is still with Yahoo! mail setup.
Did the setup you suggested and that worked on the previous version on your latest and still wont fully connect and download email when I can see the mail on my IPad or even PC

No real issue other than that and thats an extremely minor one at best :)

I tried your stuff a few times a while back. Liked the way it looked, but for some reason, I had funky dialer issues that only came up at the worst times. But based on your fan base of people I respect, I tried this last one as I was disappointed with some others I've been using. I find this latest version (Test Rom, No CHT, only add 16 quicklink cab) is fantastic. I do use OCT at 748.8 all other settings 0 including interval and have not had a SOD yet. I also use the Maxx battery tweaks. I get up at 530am via alarm on my phone, moderate phone call use during the day. When I get home at 6pm I'm at 50%- I've never had that kind of battery- excellent. Very pleased with this ROM. Excellent Work Vin. cabs: S2U2, AP News, File Explorer Extension, Opera Mini as default, and a few games for my kids.

No bugs! As always a great ROM. I'm using the latest with CHT 2.0 installed.

In fact my phone is working so good I decided to muck up it up by installing not 1 but 2 new SIPs. I'm trying both Swype plus I've installed the demo version of SlideIT. Changing back and forth. I think I like SlideIT better. Seems to be more responsive. Still, its hard to get used to sliding instead of hunt & peck.

Just my 2 cents.
