Ok, off topic but with Vin and Darren both announcing their departure on the same day, well, gotta at least give my opinion on the smartphone situation, rambling tho they may be.

I'm kind of stuck with Sprint so the announcement from M$ to go GSM for windows 7 (until 2011...) pretty much sealed the deal for me. I didn't see that coming and from what I can get from random posts it isn't because they cant, just they won't.

I have been trolling androidcentral.com, precentral.net, wmexperts.com and wmpoweruser.com since the beginning of the year knowing that in the beginning of December I'd be choosing another phone. Without multitasking I kinda wrote WP7 off but when Darren said he was waiting for WP7 I put it back in contention based on my respect for his knowledge. Now that doesn't matter.

Coming from PalmOS I have really been rooting for WebOS but c'mon. Only two devices? WebOS 2.0 better be released with some killer devices to get that back in contention.

It looks now like Android will be my next phone. Sure hope Vin, Darren and lots of you will go there too and we hook up in the next life.

I'll still be trolling this thread until it runs out.

I just noticed there appears to be a limitation to the call log so only that last 300 calls are logged, is there any way to increase this?

As for me, I hope Vin drops in from time to time with something cool to offer his loyal followers (subjects) LOL. I realize that this is wishful thinking, but I will continue to follow this thread. VINdows is and will continue to be my favorite ROM family. As I said before, keeping copies of last ROMs will help with the withdrawals, but it's alway better to move forward from time to time. Windows 7 is perhaps in my future (CDMA, so make that the "distant" future), but I love my TP2 powered by VINdows.

I'm stuck with sprint too, but sorta glad to be. They have been as good or better than my old provider at$t. Off topic too, but i've been skimming, not really reading too deeply about the win7 phone and cdma.. And i can wait for it. GSM is the world wide standard, so it makes sense to focus on getting that phone ready and out the door first. My hopes are that by time win7 is available for cdma, M$ and the carriers will have worked out most the bugs and have added some features that i guess will be missing at launch ... So thats what im hoping for, and if recent vids iv seens of win7 and sense 3.0 (htc hub?) are for real.. Then i'm waiting for sure! And just 1 more thing i'm hopeful for. I'm hoping it will be a stable OS out of the box, where i wont have to fuss with flashing roms to find "stability". Windows 7 (desktop) is stable, the new ie9 beta has been stable.. seems like m$ is making things stable now out of the box. ..... -end ramble

thanx sir and im glad to help. my leaving ppcg was not because of mr.x/mighty deal its a site issue i have with one person but thats that, i will stay if the person addresses my issue but its now not looking like it.
thanx for the words, wp7 crushed me with 2011 bs and im keeping one tp2 of my 2 but epic i had will be back in the mail monday cause wp7 has me worried now.

almost forgot that i am selling mint tp2 with not one mark on it in bargin trader and i will deal with most of you here on price cause i like/trust you guys in here and i will ship phone before i get cash to some so you can see how perfect this tp2 is. sorry vin but i need to clean house on all these phones i got but your rom is on it so thats advertising.
