Hello...I have been asked about how I got my TP2 working on Cricket. Well I decided to share what I have put together. I do not consider myself of chef or a pro at making ROM's...just played with it and asked questions. I know its hard to get answers from people since Cricket is the odd ball carrier here.

Since I am not a good cook or good problem solver...some question you may have...I may not be able to answer. I am hoping that all Cricket users will help each other.

The rom that I have put together seem to be very stable. But if you are on a good working Rom and everything is working...stay with it. There is nothing fancy in here.


MMS, Opera, and Youtube works.
Note: Thanks to RyanMogul for his help and patience... I now have Cricket Wap and Cricket Arcsoft cooked into this ROM. No need to install cab after flash.

My youtube is working...delete the youtube folder(maybe on your storage card) then do a hard reset.

download the Ryan Mogul Arcsoft cab...that will setup MMS.

Seems intressting, i'm on metropcs which if im not mistaken is the same company isn't it ? i'll look up the info on them and if it works i'll try it out and report back. currently running a sprint touch pro2 with silence rom 2.5 and got everything working.

I don't think there is a whole lot of difference in the network but not sure. Silence has a good rom...I was on it a couple of days ago. He may come out with a cricket provisioning cab... Not sure but I hope he does.

ok i deleted the previous youtube cab on storage card and now youtube works great king but still having mms issues a buddy sent me a mms and i got it 10 mins later then i clicked on the icon to open it and it just read new message above also am i the only one whos sym coma button dont work? lol (on hardware keyboard)

Glad you got youtube to work. Are you still having problems with MMS? And as for the keyboard...is the T-moble brand keyboard like verizon or sprint?

was just looking what was new in the upgrades section and saw this...

not a big deal it just makes your rom look really old.. check the date! I did this a few times today!

Its really hard to compare battery life with other ROMs because most others I've tried I couldn't get everything working and didn't use it long enough.
Me...myself think battery life is okay. Fully charged I use it at work with internet use though out the day with MS direct push on. I think maybe a good 16 hours usage with some bluetooth use...longer if I don't use internet much.

As far as tutorial goes...heck...I'm still learning. I don't think I can make a tutorial because theres still alot that I don't know myself.

I appreciate you humbleness. But so far your ROMs ROCK. You seem to know a great deal about cooking CricKet Rom's that in fact work.
You and To0 are the only tp2 cricket rom that I can find. (And the Moderators just closed To0’s Thread)

I started out with To0's rom on my old mogul. It was a pain if you had to hard reset. I'd be stuck with no phone until he e-mail back which I thought was a little crazy since other cooks was making ROM's for free without serials.

I have learned alot from reading the forums here at PPCGeeks. Tho it is hard to get questions asked about cricket since its not a big carrier here. I will be glad to help as much as I can if you would like to try your own kitchen.

Although RyanMogul has helped me, you will have to talk to him about his cricket stuff for the kitchen. But I do have a generic carrier EXT file to put in the kitchen when your ready.

I use Calkulin's kitchen. I found it to be the most easiest. Ryan uses the PPC kitchen which he likes. You'll find RyanMogul6800 at xda-developers.com

Thanks for the info. I'm still learning... cabs become OEM's that become EXT's. But I do know I like your ROMs.

I've downloaded this ROM 2 times, and both times it says the file is corrupted?? I guess I'll try later.

Have anyone figured out how to get picturemail the new htc messaging client in manilla 2.5?????????????/ please, anybody

or for ur case, cricket??? Metropcs uses simular setting so basically if u guys figured it out us metropcs users should be able to as well

Picturemail worked fine for me with manila 2.5 19xxx series when I tried it. I don't cook them because it still has other issuses that are not fixed yet.

Now the latest build manila 2.5 2.011x shows improvements butit had a issue the other day. I could send a picture text but couldn't receive one.

I found that it depends on the rom itself. Some roms don't play well when changing the arcsoft settings. There is a cab floating around that will remove the old picturemail stuff so you can install a fresh one.

Just flashed this ROM on a Sprint TP2 and everything works like a charm. Sweet work King Arthur... I even installed Garmin and tested it. Works GREATTTTT......

So u sent a picture through htc messaging client and not arcsoft? whats ur settings? cause im tired of arcsoft plain interface and wanted to use the new htc messaging app included in manilla 2.5 but cant get it to work beyond textes

I'm having some trouble with the new ROM. About once or twice a week it stops connecting to the net. It may first put up the username and password screen a few times. Then it takes me to the connection settings/dismiss screen.
There are no setting to check, I sure they are all burned into the ROM. I master reset the first time and all was good. It started again, I did a master reset and it still would not connect, reflashed and all is working well. Now it seems to be doing it again??? Does anybody else have this problem???
I love the ROM. The task bar is to die for. All the latest apps.

I'm sorry didn't read the question well...I use arcsoft to send a picture with no problems. Htc messaging doesn't work well, I usually use a cab to uninstall HTC message.

I know what your talking about but I usually just hit dismiss and close opera and start opera again. Don't really know what's the cause. I have a Rom I am running now but it is a 6.5xx com build 28233 sys. Have a few new apps in it and it works well but that comm build doesn't have x2 taskbar. Might post it later

What CAB do you use to disable HTC Messaging? I found a cab someone on the forums but it made the text in the Message tab look like crap and made the landscape view look like it was meant for VGA devices. Could you post the cab you use to disable HTC Messaging for Manila 2.1?

I'm downloading the new ROM now. Thanks for your work. I like the way you have xda shutdown mapped to the on off button. The apps are many. It's a fun ROM.
What is Resource Proxy v1.0.19922.2811.00 ? Is that like a ProxyCap burned into the ROM?
How do I get In Call Recorder to work?
Where do I find the cool text alert "Boss you have a text"?

Resource Proxy - not sure really...I see it in other roms and I think it has something to do with the sys. I just left it in.

I have never used call recorder...yet. I might try it next time my stalker calls again. But if you can't get it to work, let me know so I can leave it out of the next release.

I am downloading your rom now and gonna install it as soon as its ready. This will be my fourth rom to this phone. I love the one i have now but i am constant on the phone and everytime the phone dies all the setting revert and i miss all my calls.. btw anyone know some one who has an extra for parts. just cracked my screen???](*,)

ive tried almost evry rom for my Sprint branded Touch Pro and Sprint branded Touch Pro 2 and ive gotten (with some roms and different cab installs) mms to both send and recieve on my TP but it only sent about 5 or 6 and only recieved about 2 or 3 pic msgs and then mms just quit workin altogether.and on my TP2 i did get the old version,11-28-09 i think, Mr. X rom to send and recieve mms but i only had it flashed to my TP2 for a day or 2 before i flashed to a rom i liked better.so i never got to fully test mms on the old version of the Mr X rom so i cannot guarantee if it will work reliably or if it would fail soon like the TP mms i did get to work for a period. i did however reconfigure the telus carrier provisioning app to get everything to work on cricket.i am going to flash fron Decks TP2 SsS R2 rom to this rom and giv it a whirl. i do like energyroms the best but no matter what data/wap/mms settings i configure or what cricket wap cabs,carrier cabs,or any other cabs or settings i try i cant ever seem to get my data connections to work.or even stay saved.energyroms always reset the advanced connections settings from cricket and cricket to either My ISP or My Work Network and even if i setup My Work Network to same exact Cricket settings i need it erases the setting from either the Cricket wap settings or resets to the default settings of My Work Network instead of the reprogrammed setttings i did. i think that us Cricket and Metro PCS users should try to get our own thread to answer questions like this and other questions that nobody even seems to try to answer for us because most people use Sprint, Verizon, or US Cellular and as long as there phones are working there are few people left that will help us.In Omaha NE,where i live, a No-Contract Cricket Unlimited Talk,Data,MMS,Texts,texts to Mexico,calls to Mexico,30min.amonth roaming,Nationwide Coverage(really not quite nationwide)but works alot of far away places on roaming.but i only roam about once a year anyway for only about $54 a month.the plan i hav is the 2nd best plan they have here.the only diffrence between my plan and the best plan is the best plan is about 5 or 10 bucks more but comes with 200 roaming minutes a month.thats it.Now the only unlimited Sprint plan i can find requires a 2 year contract that the employeee says has Unlimited Data,Talk,Texts,MMS and everything else u can think of but when i wanted to watch some things from Sprint TV it would end up costing xtra. back then i dont even think u could use 3rd party gps apps either,its been awhile since ive been with Sprint,and they did have a data download limit in the fine print afterall.and all of this for about $117 a month.dont get me wrong Sprint definetly has better out of state and roaming service,but if u mostly use local calls and local most things thanCricket is the way to go for sure.Sorry for straying off topic,im just a little frustrated at the lack of support for us Cricket and Metro PCS users.Really glad to see a Cricket only rom and im gonna giv it a test spin for a couple days and let u know what i think.My main wish is for rom Chefs to start includind Cricket Mobile in their Provisioning Apps. that way, hopefully most our problems might be solved.I especially wish NRG would allow us Cricket users to use his Sense 2.5 TP2 rom.but who knows mayb ur rom will sway me from NRg to a fully working,bug free Cricket Rom.Almost to good to be true.Thanks for the hard work and i lok forward to more Sense 2.5 Cricket roms. @ LBCary,

You did alot of typing on that one. yeah...NRG roms look awesome but I couldn't get it to work either. I think he moved to many registry settings or something. My roms may not be that fancy or may not be perfect but it works pretty good for every day use. At least for me...

I hope that you like it and remember to do at least two or three hard resets after flashing.

King Arthur it would be really cool if u could work with me and help me build a metropcs based rom, i am a noob at building roms but im very very tech savy and im a fast learner. ive been searching for many ways to make a complete metropcs rom before i start trying to put one together. basically my research consisted of trying to get the registry edits in one cab to replace and delete, so far i've been unsuccessful but i have work arounds for what i cant do...... so im about 80% ready to make one with a little bit of help
