I got your ROM setup on my phone but it still says US Cellular on the main screen and when I dial 611 it goes to US Cellular customer service.

You need to load a Cricket PRL file if you want to use your phone with Cricket. If that's the case, search Google for "1013.PRL", download a copy, then load it into your phone. To load it on your phone, hook up with ActiveSync, copy the PRL into your phone somewhere, then use the dial pad to enter ##778# (or possibly just ##778 ] to open PST, enter your unlock code (MSL code), then view the PRL settings and use that screen to insert your 1013 PRL file. After you do that, close the PST and your phone will reboot. After that *611, *228, etc will ring into Cricket.

I use the 1013.PRL on my TP2 and I get 3G data connections in my area, which is really nice. I tried several PRLs, so far only 1013 works good for me. If you need to use *228 then you might wanna load 1042 PRL instead, but you might not get high speed data connections with that PRL.

This is a really nice ROM.

Suggestions:

- include WMWifiRouter (there's a cab for it out there)
- include WModem for tethering for using the phone as a modem with a PC
- Switch to Opera 10
- Offer some kind of quick click change to 3 rows of icons in the start menu
- Make the config screens and dialogs for apps look more like a modern layout (they look like older Windows layouts right now)
- Can we have a choice for a clock with white background behind the numbers?
- Get someone to make a nicer Cricket boot splash. The one you are using is an old design and makes a TP2 look cheap ;-)

Just suggestions.

Suggestions:

- include WMWifiRouter (there's a cab for it out there) I Tried it once...left it out because it runs down the battery fast. I use the USB without problems.

- include WModem for tethering for using the phone as a modem with a PC- I Tether with these rom alot without this WModem...don't need it to tether.
- Switch to Opera 10- I like Opera 10 also but some people don't and I found that Opera 10 works better with COM 5 Builds (6.5xx)

- Offer some kind of quick click change to 3 rows of icons in the start menu - I'll look into something for that or just make it 3 row

- Make the config screens and dialogs for apps look more like a modern layout (they look like older Windows layouts right now) My kitchen skills are not ready for this stuff yet

- Can we have a choice for a clock with white background behind the numbers? Talk about something old and out dated. Big white clock blocks the background look of the wallpaper

- Get someone to make a nicer Cricket boot splash. The one you are using is an old design and makes a TP2 look cheap ;-) Working on that...hard to get help with cricket. I sent out a few PM's to get a splash screen made but they never responded.:(

Just suggestions.

My response is in Red. If you know anyone willing to help the cricket splash or have apps that work with cricket please post or suggest. Thanks

I use google maps. Igo8 isn't bad, it's just couple of times I had serious problems so I can not rely on it. It last track of where I was going. I was passing the exit I was suppose to take and it was showing that I was 2.5 miles away from it. You can not turn off the screen to save the battery, if you try it may hang and does some weird stuff like turning on and off screen on it's own. It also seems like taking control over GPS chip when it hangs. I had to do hard reset to get Google Maps going. The drawback of Google Maps is obvious, no internet connection no GPS.

Are you saying your Google Maps don't work...won't connect? Try this...if you hard reset again...run quickGPS before you run any other app. Then try Google to see if it works after that. Make sure when you in the Google Maps app...go to setting and check "use GPS".

If you already tried that stuff...

No, googlemaps works fine on my phone (as long as my phone is connected to internet). I only had google maps problem once when Igo8 hung the phone so I wasn't able to use google maps. Typically when igo8 hangs I can just shut it down and everything is fine, but it took the phone down several times already. I know about quickGPS trick but I never had to use it.

Try running QuickGPS first (start/tools). I've had real good luck with each of these roms.
It may just be in my head, but I think these ROM's work better in time. I run 3-5 clear storage. They just seem to run smoother & with less glitches.
