i did a backup overwriting the old file (i know, dumb) and after a flash, i went to restore and nothing was there! like i said, luckily i had a myphone backup and was able to restore.

also, pimbackup takes WAY too long for me. takes about 20-30 mins to backup contacts and important texts/emails for me

well for me its all in the way you set it up to work for one i dont back up emails , the only thing i backup are: txt message inbox only(with attackments), contacts, call logs!

and my settings are create temp files in mem, compress backup, and binary backup! and i save everything to my sd card! with about 350 contacts (with pics and most contact info filled out) , call logs , and txt inbox , it takes like 30seconds for the backup to finish!! and i keep all my backups!!

I'm definitely getting email problems. Done a few hard resets and get this problem every time. When I get new email, the htc preview window has a "click to view" message. this only appears on new emails AFTER the initial emails roll in. All new emails get this regardless of my email settings, being text or html.

Found a fix to this. Seems common:

I'm not sure what is causing this issue.
I am getting it on both of my IMAP accounts, one being a Gmail account.
It doesn't seem t be a Gmail issue, but an Outlook issue.

Initial solution:
In the email account having issues, goto Menu -> Tools -> Clear "account name"

This seems to solve the immediate problem, and allows connection to the server again..
I'll be playing around with sending/deleting emails etc to determine what actually initialises the problem.

--------------------

after that, it started working again. Source:

My bro is having email issues too. (Sprint phone, imap connection to gmail). Apparently send/recieve doesn't disconnect or something and basically freezes phone. Anyone else having issues with email?
