Re: Winmo 6.1 Leo Manilla Joint Effort

Great Rom...Everything works on my Sprint TP2. Even was able to get MaxManila working. Sprint TV, Nav and all my software works fine. I have only 45% of my program memory used! I think the only slight tweak would be to get the Sprint Nav icon to work. For some reason it is just blank white folder. If there is a reg edit to add the Sprint Nav icon I would appreciate the help. Thanks for all your effort on this ROM. I'm very happy. I even went back to stock Sprint for a while after trying every ROM for the TP2. All the other had issues, MMS etc but this ROM works all great out of the box. Yea

i am testing a build that is compressed and has more base packages taken out that i dont feel a 6.1 rom needs to run, i think these said packages where mainly used for 6.5! this could free up another meg or two at first boot!

the sprint rom is super fast and I love it. My only issue with it is the DRM, I cannot play my eaudiobooks. It give me a DRM error message. It would be great if that can be resolved.

Thank you.

I just flashed the rom but I'm looking for a tweak. I don't like using the Manilla SMS program so is there anyway I can revert back to the regular WM version? I tried installing Maxx124OrigWMtexting4Manila.cab but that didn't solve my problem..

has anyone found a way to enable the start menu like the one found in the stock TF3D? i found one cab that seemed to work for 6.5 (i didn't try it but it said in the post.) I am using the rom on post 3 and I like it so far but I wish it would have the start menu like the stock one if im going back to 6.1

Do you mean a smaller size like the WM6.1 default?

If you want the smaller menu change this registry entry:

HKLM > Software > HTC > EnlargeMenu > Enable (change to 0)

Re: Winmo 6.1 Leo Manilla Joint Effort

so far i am loving this rom. WAY faster than any other manilla 2.5 rom out there now (since they all use 6.5+ as a base), however i do have a couple issues with it that i cant seem to iron out completely.

first one is with core player. when i play my mp4 dvd rips (ripped to the TP2 screen size using dvd catalyst 3+), the audio is fine, but the video is very choppy. if i play them in windows media player, they play fine. also, when i choose full screen for video in core player it defaults to the wrong side as being up. windows media player is on the correct side. that i can live with though if i can get rid of the choppy video.

the other is i do not get my favorite buttons in the browser tab to actually show the sites i have linked. instead it shows the bookmark name, but nothing in the picture area. i *think* this has to do with opera not having any bookmarks at all, yet when i click on an empty button to add a bookmark to it, it brings me to the IE favorites list, instead of the opera bookmarks list like it should. when i click the button (still with just the name, no picture) it opens in opera like it should, but will NOT update the button with a screenshot of the site like it is supposed to. does anyone know how to fix this issue?

other than those 2 things, i absolutely love this rom. i get the speed of 6.1, but the manila 2.5 that i want as well.

Well thank you for using Reaper0ne (its mine...) I was bussy at work so i didnt have a lot of time to update it, but i am working with Adrianh and we are going to get toghter to release something fast and functional for you guys. As for core player setting i will look into that, i think its a chipset dependent setting.

Are you reffering to the Manilla Start menu? with the program shortcuts? That menu is only on manilla 2.1 from what i know, but i will look into it.

Re: Winmo 6.1 Leo Manilla Joint Effort

This rom is great but after a few days of use i noticed small things that may or may not be able to be fixed. I am using the rom off of the second post and using verizon provisionals as i have a verizon tp2. The two problems i have is when i am on the picture tab and flip through the pictures sliding my finger from the bottom of the screen then up the pictures lag on the animation. On the other hand, going the opposite way the animation does not lag as all and moves as normal.

My second problem I believe is a manila problem, but when i am on the music tab, and i rotate the screen the coverflow is very laggy.

Other than that great rom and I will always use this rom.

Re: Winmo 6.1 Leo Manilla Joint Effort

well, all was well till this morning. for some reason, windows media player no longer has sound when i play my files in it. core player i still have the video lag issue, but at least there is sound there. i even tried a hard reset to see if that would fix it... no go.

i really dont see what happened that would break sound like that. and before you ask, i have bluetooth completely shut off, so its not trying to play it on some bluetooth device.

im going to try re flashing and see if that doesnt fix it.

flashing didnt fix the problem. the audio plays fine through the bluetooth, but not through the on-board speaker, when bluetooth is not being used. not sure why.

also, i am experiencing random lockups when i use programs such as opera and also any time i pause that movie in media player.

i think i will go back to juicyrom for now, at least until they have the kinks worked out and its a more stable OS.

both problems u speack of sound like manilla issues dealing with our processer!! i will look into it but that problem might be present in all manilla roms until there is a ported manilla verison that corrects it!!

I'm still looking for a way to disable the HTC messaging. I've tried both the roms but there's no way I can disable it.

In theory, when I click a message from the manila tab, I would like the WM messaging client (tmail) to open and NOT the HTC/Manila messaging client.

how fast is manila 2.5 really compared to the rest??? thats my main concern and id like to think that 6.1 should make it fly

it is the fastest leo experince u can have unless u have a touch hd2!
only thing is that we still have a few of the 2.5 port problem i.e the music tab in landscape(cover flow) is still unbarely slow! other then that it is the fastest 2.5 rom out!!

i havent tested a way to disable it because it works on this rom very fast and mms works and is the way htc is moving there next line of roms! u can always hit the "all messages " button on the buttom left onscreen soft key!!

I know but I wish there was a workaround. You can disable the HTC messaging client with the older versions of Sense 2.5.

Regardless I'm using you're rom and it's very quick, especially for sense 2.5. Thanks for all your effort!

So why don't other Rom creators use winmo 6.1 with manila 2.5? Not that I really care because if I created a rom I'd want it to be unique like this one too but nonetheless, since it's faster and runs smoother I don't see why others wouldn't give that option to people.

Thanks again for these roms though! Very much appreciated!
