Re: Verizon OEM Update

Has anyone gotten Santod's newest black and white taskbar modded cab to work? It causes my speaker icon to disappear, my WIM6.5 settings menu to not open, and my bluetooth icon not to change unless I turn bluetooth off before every reboot. I'm currently reverted back to an older version that mods everything except the bluetooth icon.

No, that one won't fully work with a stock VZ ROM. For some reason, Verizon has implemented the volume control a little differently in one of the .dlls. I ran into the same issue with 6.1.

Santod has pulled his taskbars from his post. I think there are currently too many issues with all the variations in taskbar implementations.

What works for me may not work for you but here is my specs in case it helps.
HTC Touch Pro 2
Verizon
I flashed to this upgrade for the radio then to
Mighty Mike rom (01.13.2010)

Another thing worth mentioning: Even though I was in 1x 90% of the time before the new radio, when I was in 3G the icon was displayed as Ev.

Since this upgrade (even before the taskbar I am using) I am in 3G with the 3G icon at least 95% of the time. Again, the only time I see the 1x now is when I am sending a text or mms message and then only for a couple of seconds.

This is the taskbar that I am using Pegasus Dusk Taskbar.cab

If the link doesn't work, you can find it in the Mighty Rom thread by searching for it.

Hope this helps,

Re: Verizon OEM Update

I am trying to find a way to move the icons to different locations, I know I read about this somewhere but can't find it. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? I want to move some of the new ones I added to the top of the list (honeycomb) so I don't have to keep scrolling all the way down. I am not using sense or touchflo because I have a large number of appointments everyday and want to see them all, not just two or three.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Verizon OEM Update

So I upgraded to the new VZ rom and one thing I have noticed other than more memory constantly in use than the 6.1 rom is with my email. It used to be on the old VZ 6.1 rom that if i had emails on my touch pro 2 I would just use Outlook on my laptop to pull the emails from my email host and they would then automatically be removed from my device when it did it's next send and receive. Basically my device was syncing itself with my email hosts server. With the new 6.5 rom it's not doing this, I am having to manually delete each email off my device. Is there anyway to get the old sync method back?

Tap and hold the icon until the option "Move to Top" appears. This process is kind of irritating because you can only do one at a time, and you have to think several moves ahead (if you want icon A to be in the fourth slot, you need to move it first, then the next three you want before it). An alternative is a program called re/start, which shows a list of the icons and folders and allows you to change the order.

Dragging them around is only an option with the 6.5.x builds.

yea, you need to plan like 4 steps ahead & then every time you install a new program you have to start all over again,,,,,,,,
