Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.5(Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/16643; U; en) HTC_Touch_Pro2)

I just flashed to this rom...
I forgot how bad the stock roms are!

I flashed back to Mighty's 01.04 rom in less than 5 minutes.

The plus...
Re-flashing retained the new radio (like it should) but I don't seem to be stuck in 1x like I was before!

Before this radio update I was in 1x mode most of the time. I have reset 4 times now and always in 3G.

I have to say it had been a very long time since I was pleased with Verizon prior to the release of the TP2. They not only got a "Gold Star" for not gimping the TP2 but actually put a ROM together that isn't a complete dog. This update has a pagepool of 15mb and it performs pretty good with Sense 2.1 on the WM6.5 platform, 21874 to be exact. There are a few things about the ROM I don't like but that's more personal choice. Either way, VZW you finally seemed to have gotten your act together.

+1 one the new ROM

In 6.5.3, how can you tell what radio version you are using?

Re: Verizon OEM Update - fingerpressure reg key?

I've had the phone only a few weeks and hadn't gotten around to flashing with one of the custom roms. I tried the VZW upgrade and it does seem to be snappier than the original rom.

However, after the flash, I noticed the touch screen was pretty unresponsive and remembered altering some registry settings.

As far as I can remember, the two edits were changing these values:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel]
"PressureThreshold"=dword:0000000a

(I think the above was originally set to something like 1000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\TFLOSettings]
"FingerPressure"=dword:0000000d

This was in a section with a number of other settings. I exported the section after making the change and the whole thing is here:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\TFLOSettings]
"FingerPressure"=dword:0000000d
"EnableSelect"=dword:00000000
"ApVibrationOn"=dword:00000001
"HandWrittingClassName"="TraSipStubWndClass;HanWan g Pen for HanWang Pen for Windows Mobile 5.0 WndClass;HanWang Pen for WinCE WndClass;"
"MenuPos"=dword:00000006
"LVSpeedHigh"=dword:00000046
"LVSpeedLow"=dword:00000078
"EnableScroll"=dword:00000001
"EnableSound"=dword:00000000
"EnableCube"=dword:00000000
"PanType"=dword:00000001
"PageHigh"=dword:00000050
"PageLow"=dword:00000032
"SpeedHigh"=dword:00000019

I found the first, pressurethreshold setting, but could not find the fingerpressure setting, or any of those other keys under TFLOsettings.

Am I correct in thinking that the registry structure is different? Any idea where the TFLO settings went?

I don't know that's what I was trying to find out.
