Did you try to pre-open WMDC? Sometimes it catches if it's already open...especially on these later wm6.5 builds.

haven't tried that one yet--but just finished flashing 12-18....going to stay here for a few, need to get a bit of work done....I'll try your active sync trick next time I flash---thanks

I too have been trying to sync for about 2 hours with no results. I get a active sync support code 80004005 ???????????? .
So what is a WMDC and do what with it. I do not want to go backwards but this is about to get to me. Never had this before. Other than this I have been using your roms awhile and enjoy your work so thanks.

same code here for me too--I'm running XP (old school) but with updated active sync.
my solution was to flash 12-18-----let everyone else play with the new toy............hey, num5kull, I see the tables have turned

Can you give a little more detail? Do you mean that when you restore your contacts from PIM backup then sync you get duplicates, or when you sync then restore from PIMbackup you get duplicates? If it's the latter then there is an option in the restore process in PIM backup that lets you choose to create duplicates, combine entries, or erase anything already there and restore from the backup. Al in all though I don't see why it matters in this case, I would flash to old ROM, sync, make a PIMbackup, then flash to this new ROM and the restore the PIMbackup and you're in buisness with the new ROM. To each his own though, just trying to help.
