I've tried to search and find a definitive answer to a question I have but have had no luck yet. I need to re-lock my phone because I am having USB issues and need to send it to service. So, will the re-locker posted under the sticky forum work with this ROM since it is an official ROM, or do I need to try and get the old stock ROM back on my phone? Since the USB is not working I will have to do this all via the SD card which from reading doesn't sound too hard to do.

Relocker will work. Use it myself every time I bring a handset in. Flash back to stock first, then use the relocker. With luck, you'll be leaving that store with a new or refurb TP2. Or at least an order for one.

Imaginos, that means that this is not considered a stock ROM? So I should flash back to the original stock ROM listed under one of the sticky forums 1st, then lock? I was hoping that I could just use this current ROM since it is considered a oem and is currently on my phone. Thanks!

This current ROM is a stock ROM. Didn't mean to confuse. If it is already on there, relock and you're done!

So if you flash the stock rom is there really any need to relock?? Just to be extra careful?

It is one last easy step to finish the cover up. Sure, not every tech may be sharp enough to spot the unlocked indication at boot. Sure, many might be phone enthusiasts too and may let it slide if they do notice it. Then again, you might have someone who follows the letter of the law and will gig you for it.

Why leave it to chance? Copy the file to your SD card. Run it and be done with it.

The link from the first post works for me. I just downloaded it again from htc.com.
