I agree. Having to scroll over each text message after already seeing it in the threaded view is wasted effort. Still no fix?

The htmlnote.dll is at fault here. Installiing the attached cab should fix that issue.

EDIT: Deleted Cab, because it was bad.

Ok, I tried this cab and it does indeed fix the text message issue.

But I just noticed that it messes up my outlook email. When I click the compose next message icon on the top right, it just goes into the "select an account" screen. Same thing happens when I click on the large envelope icon. When I open the inbox, I can't open any of the emails.

Tried uninstalling the cab and restarting the phone to no avail.

Any ideas?

running into the same problem. I can't open up emails. I can view the inbox but not the messages inside. help!

i flashed to the new rom and everything crashes now. i should have left well enough alone.

Same thing here too till I read all the pages in this thread and came across this fix which works well.

This fixes the Unread SMS issue once you get out of the current threaded sms session and it also has no issues with outlook not opening messages.
Hope this helps .. please somebody get rid of the unreadSMS.cab file .. it doesn't work for opening mails in outlook.

iMogul.... the link you provided (from KillABytez) worked perfectly to fix the Threaded SMS issue where items would remain in an unread state on my HTC Touch Pro 2 (Sprint). Everything is working perfectly! I have been trying to fix this for two weeks and this cab worked like a charm.

Can anyone tell me how to uninstall the cab provided by leadpoizon? I tried uninstalling that cab using "remove programs" and my gmail email is still messed up. PLEASE Help!

Was running the stock ROM all along. Upgraded to this, and Audible Player no longer keeps playing when I hit the power button. I have to wait 30 seconds for the player itself to turn off the screen now before putting it in my pocket. Tried installing the newest player, no change.
