There is very little that can go wrong with a stock flash like this. :)

installed, runs swiftly.............has latest PRI and 2.34_003 radio, hit PRL Update to get 60654.

what I've done is install some custom taskbar icons on the top, batteryperformance hacks, etc...............all good

Yes NFL & Nascar is much faster as well has the whole OS. Looks to me like everything has been updated except Live Search hasn't been upgraded to Bing.

I don't quite see it like that. I see so much excitement and mystery filled throughout these pages over the new ROM. Almost like getting very bored of your girlfriend and meeting a new exciting chica.

Did you install and then hard reset? NFL is running MUCH faster than before. I sure do miss 6.5 tho!

This rom has 1.12.34f radio and a much later PRI then stock.

I recall from the Mogul days how updating the PRI to match the radio really made a difference in odd things like GPS locks and battery drain. What I don't know is how we get that PRI onto our phones with custom roms.

So, short of flashing to THIS rom, then re-flashing to a custom rom, anyone know of a better way to get the PRI from this rom onto a TP?

Has anyone dumped this yet? I have failed with bepe's toolset and with rstoyguy's method... could anyone share how they did it? with bepe's toolset after the nbhextract his dump_800 script fails right after extracting .VM with this:

I have flashed the original stock ROM a couple times via microsd while the phone was unlocked and had no issue. As to whether you would have an issue with this new one...probably not, but I definitely wouldn't guarantee that.

Wow I just tried this rom and I am really liking it!! Touch flo is much much faster. At first it was slow but it seems like it's caching it or something. But ea subsequent use it's very nice.

It just seems way more usable, less buggy and more intuitive. Took a few minutes and got google maps on again, contacts back on, gmail push working... I'm liking my Tpro now :) hahaha

I noticed it has a few other version upgrades.
Windows is 5.2.2.21054 (build 21054.1.6.7) vs 5.2.1.19965 (Build 19965.1.2.3)
windows Live for mobile = 10.6.0052.1300 = newer than what you can get from Microsoft.

That is all I have notice so far that has not been mentioned here.

Does anyone else notice the software keyboard looks different? It seems to have more space between the "keys". For me, it makes it easier to type.

Yes, i have noticed. I'm not sure how i feel about the new rom. I was really hoping for windows mobile 6.5 or at least a major upgrade. This isn't really a upgrade at all. All they basically added was slide to answer and a few tweaks to make the device preform faster. I haven't tested the gps but after just trying the rom for 20 minutes i woulden't get my hopes up. I guess i could either customize it a bit or upgrade to a custom rom.

this may be a stupid question... it says everything will be erased including contacts, calendar, 3rd party apps, etc. Can I do a Sprite backup of everything and after the flash, reload the backup?

Seeing how this ROM was built about 2 months ago who knows if a 6.5 one will ever surface.

Happy to report that the SD card flash worked fine, and DID NOT relock the phone - so I went back to my preferred radio. Now to do another hard reset for luck and start restoring everything I can. Hope Good Things 2 Life will investigate this ROM and update his cleanup package.

i think conflipper probably had this weeks ago when he released the same radio and pri update. glad to see this is official now that i gotta take my phone to repair shop tomorrow

Nope, that's a different profile (your data profile) - the cab in that other thread did the trick for me, I ran it, then flashed the lastest groove rom 6.5/w updated drivers... working very well.

If i use SPB Backup on my current rom which is sprint shipped and i select full backup then upgrade to new rom version then load back up my backup file full restore will the new improvements that htc released be over ritten by my spb backup full restore?
