I have the same problem screen goes nuts every once and while, color lines through it . I thought it was a bad phone but nope it is the rom still like this rom hope this gets fixed soon.

Though everything was fine.. clear storage...format NAND.. new download. Installed all my apps fine. Changed my ringer. Then I tried to set up my sliding sound and the phone froze. Waited an hour. Finally had to soft reset and now its on the radio screen for 10 minutes. If I take the battery out it will do the same hard reset its been doing. WTF!

Hello I have been running the 071 rom since it came out and have had no problems I am on sprint I would sugjest that you flash back to the stock rom then do I clear storage or wipe device then reflash to the rom after flash do a clear storage do I soft reset and then start to add whatever programs you load up one at a time to see if that is what is causing your problems.
I have ran all the roms that he put out and have ran great for me just be sure to redownload the rom to be sure that you get a good download without issues if I can help more let me know I also use a program called clean ram that I have set up to run every day that helps here is the cab of you don't have it

i definitely just reflashed to the stock rom and then ran clear storage. I then reflashed to this rom and it's still doing it.

You are not trying to install a cab called nuekblight or the nuepower cab by chance? When I tried to install those cabs on 6.5 roms I was getting that same effect that you are talking about I just don't install them they don't play well with 6.5

Alright everyone that is having issues can you please post screenshots and possibly tell me exactly what you've installed (everything!) this will be the quickest way to get to the root of the problem. Also please explain if you've restored a backup and what software you used, because if you restore a backup that was from an earlier rom, it will overwrite everything in the rom and screw everything up. Also explain what you were doing when the error/glitch occured (opening a certain program, receiving a text message, etc) So please help me help you.

Also if anyone could post screenshots of how the 071 rom looks when you first flash it that'd be great. So I can update the pictures on the first page. I'm also going to be releasing a standard 6.5 build (without the bigger taskbar at the bottom) momentarily. Thank you all for your patience and I know this is really frustrating for you. I'm doing my best to help out

I can't post screen shots but i can describe exactly... I do not install ANYTHING additional to your ROM. I flash just the rom, that is all.

What will happen is the device's screen will power off due to inactivity or me pressing the power button to turn it off, then when i hit the button again to do something the screen is all multi colored bars. This is the closest representation i can come across, but it's much more pronounced. You can't see anything on the screen. it's all different lines of color, and they appear to be moving around as well.

I have tried everything I can think of, I even flashed back to stock, then cleared storage, and then reflashed but to no avail. Still same problem exists. I hope it gets found and fixed, because I LOVE the looks / feel of this ROM when it works.

Justed flashed today back to stock then to 071 rom way better results still have not seen the corrupt screens and phone has not locked up!!! Excellent improvement with the htccleaner cab.

Funny thing, this had never happened to me before. I read this post yesterday, then today radomly it happened to me. Weirdest thing. I'm not even using a ROM based off of Calkulin's Kitchen. The newer WM builds maybe...?

that's what I'm thinking, I've checked all the files and they all line up right. The only thing I've changed is a few packages that are unrelated to winmo6.5, but rather related to htc.

23071 working fine for me..............but don't like the battery status screen that displays after a soft-reset, how do you make this go away? and it's not in the startup folder

FML - I flashed Juicey 8 last night to hold me over till this ROM got fixed and I'm sad to report I have the same problem. Trying to narrow this down farther, I've only noticed this problem on 6.5 using TF3D & the bottom start menu. I'm not sure what version that is. I ran a titanium RaidZero ROM the other day, but I hated it so much i didn't have time to properly test. Wasn't RZs fault, just don't like Titanium. Either way, I didn't notice it with that ROM.

Is there any more information I can provide or anything i can do to help track this down?

Edit: I just flashed back to build 23420 of your ROM (the beta ones) and I cannot text people back? It gives me an error and won't send the text.

does anything stay in memory after a flash? I just flashed to a stock ROM and during the screen calibration my screen had the same problem again. Something is either in memory from the last flash (is that possible?!?!) or this thing is toast. FML.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. It's even doing it now during the "Touch Pro" screen during boot. NOT GOOD.

I would try flashing back to the original stock rom, not the newer one that was released last month. Do another hard-reset, then find another custom rom to install. If this doesn't work, flash back to original stock, relock and go to the repair center or file a claim.

Ok, i love this rom and its worked great but I broke my soft reset button after I was having all these issues. Called assurion and tomorrow I will leave the world of the touch pro..... for a touch pro 2. Maybe Ill see you over there baz and you can continue making these amazing roms. Please dont forget however that not everyone is able to get an upgrade. Keep the Touch Pro scene alive!

I think Calkulin said there was some issue with Pic mail and his new kitchen, I'm going to have to take 071 and port it back over.

Thanks homes, yeah I forgot to put a proper shortcut path in for the calc, I'll fix that as well.

Good to hear, change is always good and I don't plan on screwing the TP peeps over because I have a TP2. I just wish there was more leaking on the scene but it's been pretty slow lately.

This is an EXCELLENT ROM!! I used Merdin's and when he abandoned it I was soooo bummed until I found this. Your rom has made my tp run better than it ever has.

Looks like my update will have to be pushed to tomorrow, I had this brilliant plan to try and port 2.5 and htc sense over to vga and it has made my life a nightmare omfg. Anyways. I'll try to get an update tomorrow, thank you for your time.

I ran into an issue with the Calendar app on your latest ROM today. When I edit an appointment, if I touch the date to put in a different date, it pops up the new HTC-style calendar, which only shows "Save" and "Cancel" buttons in landscape mode, not on the portrait mode. That's Bug #1. If you click Save, it goes to edit the notes/description and doesn't come out. That's Bug #2. This needs a hard close of the Calendar app.

Anybody run into the same thing?

Not the first time ive seen the calendar issue in a rom.. my workaround is after you select dat, hit enter button (big circle) and it should go back to edit screen..i have no complaints because is visually better than standard...

hopefully next upgrade will include working picture mail

Thank you for this rom! I had flash fever and decided to give this a try. It's so nice and smooth. I love 6.5.1's start menu on the bottom and the rom comes with pretty much everything I need. Thank you for the great work.

very nice rom, took it off the charger at 5:30 this morning, by 6:00 it was down to 85% w/out receiving email or anything else................going back to stock.

I mostly lurk on these forums since most everything has already been said it seems, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

1. Fantastic ROM(s). Very cool looking and amazingly stable for the amount of apps on it. The only one I couldn't find was RSS Hub (not a big deal)

2. Battery life is poor but I ran the battery saver settings cab and that seemed to help a lot. I haven't noticed any problems from it.

3. Is there any way to get Opera to use the little dpad circle to resize the text? Do I have to load an HTC Opera?

One final comment/question....

WHY would somebody go to a touch pro 2 and back to 6.1?? I love 6.5 and the newer builds especially. I just don't see a big reason to upgrade unless you just want a bigger screen. What am I missing?

It's assumed by most people here, I think, that one would flash a 6.5 or 6.5.1 ROM on one's TP2. If you're really into all of this, as most of us here are, then there's this urge to keep up with the latest and greatest. There are already things being ported for TP2 that aren't able to be put on a TP. I have decided I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a TP2 outright primarily because I love all of this stuff and want to be able to keep up. To each his/her own though. The bigger screen is definitely a huge plus in my book. Hardware is much better too.

I had heard that rumor. I was thinking about breaking mine to get a TP2, but I love my TP too much. I'd rather have them both. It's good to know that it's true though.

Has anyone had a problem with selecting a reminder date in task application? You can't really select one and when I hit the middle button to okay it, I get a blank white screen so I have to X out of it and I can never set a reminder unless its the same day (since the time part works fine). Any help?

I tried this and if I understand you correctly then it works for me. I've tried changing the date and the calendar pops up and pick another day. it puts it in fine. no white screen for me. I'm changing the field right below "remind me"
