Unless you quote the post or mention the poster we're not sure what screen shot you’re referring to.

Bravo Silence =D>, Bravo.

I just wanted to say that this is one of the best roms I have ever flashed, since I got started a little over a year ago with my touch. Super fast and stable. My only real problem has been the battery, but I kinda think that its just starting to go since my phone has been deactivated for a couple weeks now, and I`ve just been using wifi and it cycled about 5-10 in the last 2 weeks.

It`s just ironic that I have finally found a very good up to date rom the absolutely works, without a bunch of gimmicky boat, 3 weeks before I`m switching to a hero. ](*,)

I`m sure I`ll eventually come back to good ol winmo though

after a day with the rom, Ive had some problems. I had my phone in my pocket this morning and the back of it which was burning hot. I turned it on to find out that the battery was at less than 10% even though it had been charged only a couple of hours ago. Ive never had this problem on any roms that ive tried and im not sure why this one just doesnt work so well

/plz don't be mad at the ROM i'm using. i'm just trying a bunch out. :P

That's weird, I just don't have that problem with any of my contacts, it even looks fine with a name is too long for the screen.

lame. wish it was duplicateable.

i think i'm going to stock-flash, relock, unlock, and flash a Psyki ROM just to make sure i cant recreate the issue.

i may be getting a TP2 soon if i play my Sprint contacts like i want to. will be looking forward to seeing you all cooking over there if i move. don't worry though. selling my buddy this here TP to replace his Instinct. he's a big fan of Psyki and Silence (as long as you keep the start menu and status bar on the top where it belongs).

Nice rom... I was curious if anyone has the regular VGA wallpaper for the Dark Forrest. I would like to use it with S2U2 so I can match the theme. Thank you!!!

Re: [SilenceROM Final Build 23016 Manila 2.1 Native 6.5 Kernel SEPT.15.09]

Rom is great Titanium is good.
TF3D is not. Issues with TF3D
1. cannot do a partial match unless the contact starts or ends with your search string.
2. SMS always shows 1 unread message, no matter what. I tried checking the outlook in all accounts. It clearly says SMS/Inbox 1 unread. Titanium doesn't think so.

Overall much better than the stock.
Cant wait for someone to takeover the kitchen and release a newer Rom with the latest UIs.

Pretty sure this version of album does not slide that way.

First glad your enjoying the rom.
Second, you can click and hold and then reagane the start menu items. Silence worked his magic and made both work
Third, exit opera by clicking menu and exit.
lastly, you can get the kitchen by donating to silence. show your support.

Thanks for the wuick reply.

1) I tried exiting Opera through the menu and it still was there in the tas bar. Tried in the task manager, no dice. Not a huge deal but it's bothering me 'cause I can't change it.

2) When I click and hold a Start enu item, it doesn't bring up the menu that says 'move to top'. I thought I read where it was either going to be a dimming menu or arrangeable.

3) I would love to donate and if I can swing it soon, I definitely will. Employment has become an issue in NYC the last year or so.

These aren't major issues in relation to the overall quality tof the ROM so I can deal. They do grate on my perfectionist nerve, though. If any other solution is available, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

1. u can add opera to the exceptions list or whatever its called in wktask to keep it off the taskbar however when u are legitamitely running it and need to switch to it u wont find it in the taskbar and will have to hit a shortcut for it.

2. hold finger on icon, then drag and drop to where u want to move it.

3. run navizon for a few hours next road trip u take, make profit to ur paypal account then donate to siley....or get more people to thank the 1st thread

If you disable Push Internet is that also Push Email? Id love 10MB more RAM but since Google is doing Push now for Gmail Id hate to lose that.

EDIT:
Damn, so many of those links in the OP seem to be dead. Link for CAB to disable Push Internet doesn't even work if I did want to use it.

hey, great rom
just wondering how the battery life on this rom is? heard silence, mighty, psyki and dcd's roms have best battery life compared to equally packed/empty roms.

i see a A+ on the details of the rom but dont know how many hours that would be lol. (standby or minimal useage)

just going through several roms to see which one gives me the best battery life with manila, and the basic apps

Answered my own question: Pushed Internet is a sort of cool feature where the bookmarks you have in TF3D will automatically refresh themselves at a certain interval. It can be turned off with this cab:

Well, long story short, several posts with attachments in them (posts made by silence) have been deleted/modified. All those links are now dead. Unfortantly, i do not have new links to put in the faq as i do not have those cabs. If people want to reup them, i will be more then glad to update the links...

No see my problem is that when I install the CAB file for EZInput my device asks to restart and I tell it to go ahead but it locks up at the VZW boot screen and I am forced to hard reset just to get back into the device.

Re: [SilenceROM Final Build 23016 Manila 2.1 Native 6.5 Kernel SEPT.15.09]

Personally I don't like the EZInput. When you're entering a new contact name, the space bar disappears and changes to a slash and something else. You can't enter space at all between first and last names. The space bar key will come back in other fields, but for some reason it doesn't work when I need it to.

I got the same with Juicy's Western version, so it's nice to have stock back again.

I'm really liking this ROM. It uses more RAM that others, but so far it's been pretty stable.

Thanks for the Start Menu info, much more convenient. As for Opera, I'm trying to get it to stop running in the background. It's always there. I used to be able to delete registry key BootLaunch 99 in the Init directory and it wouldn't load at start up or after I closed it out. Now, no matter if I stop it in Task Manager or through it's on screen menu, it always comes back immediately. I could exclude it in WKTask but then it's always hidden and I can't minimize it to work on something else or to leave it open on some site I'm reading to make a call or whatever. It's really annoying, uses a decent amount of RAM and drains my battery faster. If anyone knows how to stop this infuriating behavior, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
