One thing I noticed between the previous "Baseline Final" and the latest (23071 Titanium) - word suggestion / auto-completion isn't working, and I can't figure out if it's something I did, or if that's by design...

ahh, I remember that. I forgot about that in the newer versions. I will try to remember how that was implemented. Sorry I have been pretty busy recently, last nights kitchen did not upload because of the stupid power settings in windows putting my machine to sleep... I always forget that when I format..

Just curious how, if at all, your work on the new manila was going.

just as long as it wasn't something I did :)
is this something that would make it's way into a new rom, or into the nightly kitchen?

It is going. I have gotten the slider up to be visible and it works. I have aligned the slider icons on the screen, there is still a TON to do. There are of course all those xxxxxxxx_manila files and once they are taken apart they have a bunch of sub-manila particles (teehee) some of those being images, QTC files (images), mode9 files (and inside those are xml documents to edit) alongside mode9 lies LUAC files which are actually little compiled programs of their own, when you decompile those they become lua files which are all code using an HTC adaptation of the LUA scripting language: this is where the real stuff is done. I am learning as I go along.

you did not do anything, and yes it will be in both when I implement it. right now though I am focusing on the manila 2.1.1919.3517 port to VGA

Here's another bit of weirdness: the X button doesn't close the calculator, just minimizes it...can someone confirm this on theirs? (23071 Titanium)

the x button does not close programs on 6.5.1, you have to use the task manager to do that. That is a known issue with 6.5.1

on a side note: I just unwrapped a VZW TP2 and omg it is sexy. SO much easier to use... no TAB key though! :(

Just thought I'd give an update to my experience and a question. . . The kitchen is still great with no bugs like I have had in other ROM's .. but I do have only one bugg.....

I know QuickGPS is glitchy in about 70% of all ROM's especially in new builds... but I have a problem. Actually I'm not entirely sure if it is with QuickGPS itself, because it runs (aside form it occasionally freezing when I update the downloaded content it gets) ...but sometimes it crashed the phone... shuts it completely off. It also happens in Google Maps (which I have cooked the latest version into the ROM). it seems to be random, but sometimes it happens when I hit exit or some other option, or I don't have to do anythign at all. .......I suppose my question is this: Is the problem with QuickGPS, or the GPS itself? I have not had this problem in other ROM's. Is there anything I can do to try and fix it?

Thanks :)

oops..guess it would help to read the rest of the forum, not just your thread :)

and I was playing with the TP2 mock at the sprint store, it does seem really nice, but I think I want to wait a few years for the HD2/Leo
