So I'm running the 23071 manilla rom on my Sprint touch pro and I used sashimi to auto install all my cabs and setup email and what not, but when I soft reset, my phone gets stuck on bootup on the Touchpro screen. i let it sit like that for 10 mins and got nothing. hard reset and ran sashimi again and got the same result.

Any ideas? Help a noob out. lol. I love this ROM, but I would like to be able to run sashimi.

About Cabs
I follow Sharkie with Cab Converter and it's so easy than using shashimi.
And it's so fan to play and learn with Raidzero Kitchen:laughing6::laughing6::laughing6:

Manila 2.1.1919.3217 runs but is pretty unusable right now (you cannot see anything past pixel 640, there are 160 more pixels of stuff down there (all menus, slider - right now I worked around the slider issue by using the retractablte slider for VGA) and the icons are not centered when sliding (I do not know why because I thought the rhodium screen was 480 px wide just like the TP)

I do not know anything of sashimi, what cabs did it install? it must have been something that breaks the ROM's ability to boot.. sorry I cannot be of more help. The workaround would be to (I know, it sucks) hard reset, not use sashimi and just install the cabs normally. see if that helps. if it does make up a sdconfig.txt in the root of your storage card that calls those cabs to be installed at autorun.

or as jdm said, just cook your cabs into the rom with the kitchen ;)

Sharkie we have to download every nigth all the kitchen or just the new XIP and SYS?

to answer that for stuff like manila you will need the whole kitchen build.. unless (lol here we go again) I do a simple EXT nightly uploaded also lol. though I have added many tools to TOOLS (for manila editing) maybe I should make a standalone upload of that too lol that would be crazy. a full kitchen to start with and then individual components to update with?? hmm.. nobody has ever done THAT before, well... I guess nobody has ever done any sort of nightly anything upload. (on ppcgeeks at least) ;)

It was like 3 cabs, nfl mobile live, galarm and motweets, I use sashimi more for my email accounts. I have 4 and its a pain to set them all back up once I flash a ROM. Also to backup my PIM because it restores my faves tab and all my facebook connections. I don't think I'm ready for ROM cooking yet.

I appreciate you guys and your quick responses though. The ROM is pretty fast and stable though, I ran it all day yesterday before restoring any of my information to see if I like it. i may just install the stuff manually and keep this one for a while.

i had a cab that adds that weather clock etc but it also changes your wallpaper and your slider so i don't ever use it. i just wanted to test the clock not the whole theme xD

I have a zip archive BG4ALL where I have to drag in the kitchen or what I have to do before to drag?
I tryed to have the wallpaper for all but it's not working some times it's there and some times disappear.
I got a cab for weather Canada and Mexico and it's working with the last kitchen.

Just wanted to say that I cooked most of my programs in the ROM and it all worked out! This is so sweet! Next I have to learn how to cook registry edits in there...

So in an attempt to help other n00bs such as myself here's what I used to cook cabs into the kitchen. First you have to put them in EXT form. RaidZero suggested putting them in OEM format first then from OEM to EXT. Here's the program I used to transform cabs to OEM; then from OEM to EXT, and a quick tutorial on how to do it.

1) Drag the cab into "1 Cab2OEM". It will then place an OEM folder of that cab in the same folder you got the cab from.

2)Drag that OEM folder into "2 EXT_PAckages_rebuilder". It will then turn that OEM folder into an EXT folder. The folder will remain where it was; it will just change format (or whatever you call it; I'm a noob remember).

3)Open up the kitchen and drag that EXT folder and drop in the EXT\Baseline\zzzzzzz_last folder.

That's what I did anyway and everything worked out.

If anyone uses it, let me know if it worked out...

Oh, and I didn't make the Cab Converter. I was searching around and came across it somewhere in PPCGeeks. Didn't bother to notice from who... Sorry

Thanks so much for this Sharkie :) Just Cooked all my Cabs into the kitchen successfully ...Added a theme, and basic apps like Google maps, etc. Carrier Cabs, MMS Arcsoft Alltel, ....Its Great.

Still loving this Kitchen RZ. . . Everything is soooo easy to find. I modified the splash screen on bootup (I know that's not a big deal, but it's nice for me)... The manila files are great too.... I was able to delete what I didn't want and add CAB-->EXT files for back to stock manila. .. love it! ....

...just have one question and it's no biggy... On the RUU when I flash my cooked rom how do I modify the rom to have the name I want it to have? Right now it says current version is "Baseline" whenever I re-flash. . . i would like it to say the name I want.... I know this has no change on the performance... it's just me wanting to not be so noobie lol. Thanks :)

Code:
