that is so weird. I do not know why the kitchen would not work for you... baseline.txt is in zzzzz_baseline\files right? and it contains autrorun commands?

you have never been able to use my kitchen because of this, I really have no idea. if it were me I would reinstall windows lol

I have had this happen to me every once in a while. Usually I will just turn around and re-flash then it will run. But I think is has something with me interrupting it before it gets the chance to run. (i interact with the UI, press a button, etc). Everytime I flash after cooking I am really careful about that and am just a lil extra patient with it to start the autorun, then it eventually does. ... But I'm not sure if I am correct and just being superstitious about it. :)

EDIT: Am I lost here maybe, I probably am speaking out of turn and dont know what im talking about.

would it be anything to do with the fact that i'm using Windows 7 to cook the rom, then i'm just copying the RAPHIMG.nbh file to my sdhc card and flashing directly from the phone? i doubt it, but still..

but, but...it's a clean w7 install =P

LOL thanks :) ... So I know this is old news and I could probably get my answer if I did a whole lot of reading, But I (for the heck of it) tried manila 2.5 last night (and I know raid took it out for now), but it ran surprisingly well except for one thing. . . the data connection would not turn on in the comm manager. I read back on all the posts in this thread last night to see if I could find anything pertaining to that, but I had no luck (i may have missed it). But I was just wondering if that happened to everyone who tried it? Or just me? or if anyone has had success with it is there anything special to do? ..... Otherwise I will be happy waiting till raid puts it back in when yozgatz finishes his port. :)

Here the one raid includes never copies over from the RAR for me or it gets triggered by AVG so i just use my own and can cook roms just fine.

Hm, another error message I noticed while executing the batch was a missing "msvcrt71.dll" file. I'll try to throw a copy of that in \Windows\system32 and see if it fixes my problem.

lat, its been a loooong time since i last built a rom with raids kitchen because of the same thing, i just thought it was me adding/removing EXTs to the kitchen and messing everthing up, but now that someone mentions it, that is the exact same thing that happens to me...will download todays new kitchen and report back!

btw, im running windows 7 x64 too!

I have included a different htcrt.exe that does not cause any red flags.. I am on win7 x64 enterprise. no issues for me, I think it may be a permission issue.. but why autorun doesnt get cooked in i've no idea.

lat if you name it 23506, 23506, both, y, 20mb pp whats the exact size of the nbh produced? it should be the same as the one released today in the rom... let me know, I am off for tonight have a good night everyone. going to play the new clone wars xbox game with my wonderful wife. later!

hmm... i tried building a ROM without Titanium or Manila using the kitchen w/ the 23506 SYS and specifying "none" in the batch file, but it installed Titanium anyway.

im getting an error, and this has been happening because of the EXTs (of course) that i am adding, when running the customizations, I get this error....

"The File: \Windows\Calkulins_Touch_Pro_Tweaks.cab does not exist!"

does anybody happen to know what EXT (if any of you are using calks) can be causing this? this causes my customizations to freeze, therefore leading for a not so good rom because i cant continue important customizations! also, just so you all know, im not including any of calk's "tweaks" EXTs nor anything like that, they are all apps!

ok raid i have a diffferent one for ya. i am trying to cook in tellme. yeah its broken but its fun to play around with. tellme requires msvc. i can cook em both in just fine. msvc works but tellme just crashes. heres the weird part- i can cab install msvc over the preinstalled one and tellme works. i have checked, every function of msvc works its odd and the cab i use to install is the same one i made the ext out of. man i have learned so much from your kitchen. i know i told ya the phone canvas scroll thing was fixed in the 218xx builds but it only works if i put it in the zzzzz_last folder.

heres another one. with the alltel carrier cab im using it runs through the whole initial setup thing u know where you pick your timezone and tap screen to complete. how do i get rid of that? it also makes the usb connection staus window popup and i would like to eliminate that too its didnt hapen with the sprint carrier package.

This happens to me also. But the reasoning is this (in my mind). Titanium (as a UI Manager) is the default for WinMo 6.5.x . . . and therefore is built in no matter what. What you ARE NOT getting when you choose not to cook with titanium is the EXTRA features such as Titanium weather and the Wifi/Bluetooth Toggles switches and the themed look of titanium. . . . Hope that helps.

As for Tellme.... i have a package that you can cook in and ill attach it (I cant remember where I got it but thanks to whomever). It works when I cook it in. . . as long as I have NetCF 3.5. ...Ill attach that also.

thank you. i am using the carrier ext that zombie posted. its just that i dont want it to go through initial setup. as far as the carrier part it works fine.

with the tellme i already have netcf 3.5 and im using the same ext i think it came from edtp. do u know if raid already has msvc somewhere in his kitchen?(guess i could pull mine out and see if its still in the rom) it works fine as long as i cab install msvc even though i already have msvc installed. kinda weird.

It appears to be in the SYS/23506 folder so yes it is in there (today's official release of the kitchen at least)

i apreciate your responses nazgul. i had to drop my msvc oem into the sys instead of turning it into an ext. worked like a champ. even though there is a voice command there it wasnt what tellme was looking for.

this is a mistake on my end, it should be removing titanium from windows and not keeping titanium at all

youre probably using a calk carrier package, if so open up config_operator.txt in there and follow the links till you find the one that has that cab in it. remove that line.

remove my msvc from SYS? and look for a welcome.xml somewhere in the carrier package and remove the reference to it. welcome.xml defines how welcome.exe will run (timezone, password, email, etc)

nah thats a mistake. I must have broken that functionality somewhere along the line.. I will investigate that.

find that in the cmd file. remove the >NUL at the end of each line, apparently we can't do a redirection after a redirection.. make it look liek this

I have fixed this in the kitchen and will be included in future nightly kitchens. I forgot to plug my laptop in last night and it hibernated, so there were no uploads last night :(

Is not being able to set the alarms through manila just a WM build thing? Has anyone heard of a fix? 23506 doesn't do it either.

I can set the alarm in manila without issues. I just tap the clock on the home tab and go to the alarms section... ? It sets fine for me and then goes off as expected. this is on the 23506 rom

also works on a rom I just cooked a while ago in the kitchen...

do you have htc framework in your kitchen? if so, remove it.

I wonder if it could be Kamil's compact home screen. I will have to remove that from the kitchen and test it out...

Actually, it works. It just can't be set for the first time in manila. It never sticks. Once I set it through Windows, manila manipulation works fine.

i use compact home screen as a ext and i can set alarms as soon as i first boot up. i want to find out a way to set the alarms automatically. just like copying the pim.vol or something.

Damn WinCE Cab editor!!!! I did what RZ suggested and still can't install that F'in program! I think I'm just going to have to wait till I go to W7 and start fresh. That's the only cab editor everyone tells me to get. Sucks!
