It does, just remove the _skip file from the gen.y manila r1.5 ext

I did not change anything, that must be MS at work. is it present in 23081 or 23502?

new in 10-30 is the ability to cook in both titanium and manila, personalizer and phm regedit is included. a few behind the scenes kitchen changes to make adding new builds completely plug and play. I am thinking of adding a feature that sort of autoupdates the kitchen for you when there are new builds available, kinda like ppckitchen does. This is just a thought, we'll see how it actually works if I try to implement it..

ohamajs: as sharkie said you need to disable UAC on vista/win7. I always just disable it and did not think anyone really used it. baseline the sys just means take out stuff from windows like windows live, live search, adobeflash, onenote... also as sharkie said there are no options to chose the ingredients. you put what you want in there yourself. even in 10-30 is will not tell you ytou can type none or both to the titanium or manila prompt, but you can.

lat - I have no idea why it isnt working for you, just to be sure you have no form of user account control on and you are logged on as an administrator on your machine, right? what OS are you running it on? two different PC's and the same thing?! I have tried it on two difft PC's also and it works on both, but on both uac is off and I have admin privileges... the uac thing doesnt make sense why it would stop autorun. when you are cooking do you see autorun get cooked in in the beginning of the EXT processing section?

what sys version? I am running 23502 manila and it works.. AH I just saw something, on my other T running 23502 titanium, I go to the notifications area and click the battery icon and it displays fine, but if I turn off the screen and then turn it back on it makes it go away and I turn it off and on again it shows... this also happens on 23502 manila. seems like a bug in 23502, no battery driver stuff has changed as that is all kept in OEMDRIVERS

1st try was with UAC off on Windows 7 x64, 2nd try was with my WinXP desktop machine (yup, admin on both)...oh well, it isn't that big of a deal to just provision your xmls manually; just curious as to why that only happened to me =)

I also haven't been able to resolve my GPS issue with 23502. My phone is able to detect the GPS on COM4, then it searches for satellites and starts to get a lock. After a few seconds, it gets the lock, then crashes my PPC (automatically resets). After this happens, no software can access the GPS at all on COM4 anymore, until I pull the battery (even with a soft resets, hard resets, and a reflash, apparently).
I'm going to flash back to 23071 or 23069 which were perfectly stable and try it again, just make sure it worked properly back then...to confirm it isn't faulty hardware

I doubt its hardware. I am pretty sure my gps works in 23502 though so I don't know. I have a feeling something else may not be working with the kitchen and not just the autorun for you. what it is I have NO idea though. what is the exact size of the nbh produced by the kitchen and what values have you given it for all the prompts? I will build one with the same values and compare the size, just to see if everything is actually making it into the rom

Sure thing...I'm just downloading 10-30 right now for apples to apples...

I'll enter 'Lat' for the name, '23502' for the SYS/XIP version 'manila' for the version, 'y' for baseline, and '16' for the page pool.

straight out of your 10-30 kitchen, this cooks:
127,508,454 RAPH.nbh

I noticed that immediately after I enter in my pagepool amount, the command prompt quickly says something along the lines of "The system cannot find the path specified." a couple times before continuing on with the next command prompt...is that normal?

yes, that is because it is skipping or deleting files that are not needed in the kitchen (GSM stuff, or chinese stuff)

here is what I get

Size on disk:

121 MB (127,508,480 bytes)

Size:

121 MB (127,508,454 bytes)

if you right click the NBH and go to properties, what is your size on disk? nvm its the exact same file.. spooky

so then, why does autorun not run for you.... do you have an sdconfig.txt in the root of your SDcard?

it should make a file called RAPHIMG.nbh, not RAPH.nbh ??

Please don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure you are pressing the home button and not accidentally pressing the send button? I always press the very top left corner for home and very bottom left for send, likewise for the others, top right for OK/back and bottom right of the button for end. The TP actually has 8 buttons under one panel. (it looks nice but hinders functionality) depending on the age and wear on it, they can get accidentally pressed. I still cannot reliably use the D-pad around the center button, it eventually always ends up pressing home back send or end.

I do not think this an issue with software, it is a hardware design flaw in my book. The behavior you describe is exactly what happens if you press send twice :)

Cooked my first rom, looking good so far.

I used 23502, chose both manila and titanium, 6MB Pagepool and it seems to be running fast. Thanks for the kitchen.

Actually, I think this would be the perfect rom for me IF I had menu enhancements in Titanium as well [-o<.

and the bad news is that...unfortunately, both 23502 and 23081 have my gps crashing when it gets a fix. i'm really thinking it's a hardware issue now. i think i may have to flash back to stock and see if the behaviour is the same - if so, i better get it replaced while it's still under warranty (i've had my tp for almost a year now)

downloaded the new kitchen made a test rom. and cooking both works nicely i thought i had both b4 but nice to know i for sure do now. as every time htcrt.exe never copys or a threat is detected but to fix it i use my own from xda. although i did notice in the kitchen making process it doesn't list how to cook both manila and titanium so i made this little edit

Code:

set /P NAME="Please Enter the name of your ROM: "
set /P buildver="Please enter your desired SYS/XIP version: "
set /P BUILD="Please Enter titanium or manila or both (lowercase): "
set /P skip="Would you like to baseline the SYS? (y/n): "

I'm sure it is possible, I have not attempted but I will.

Try this

[HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCMenus]
EnableManilaCheck = dword:00000000

just tested on tp2, it worked. I will add this to the reg entries of my menu enhancement package in the kitchen and move it into common exts and not just manila :headbang:

Perfect!! I had to add the reg value manually, but it worked immediately in titanium. Thank you sir.

Just because I know you like things perfect, any chance you can find the menu enhancements that don't have the up/down scroll arrows?

Also, when I built my rom tonight I tried adding the m6 taskbar from Calkulins kitchen. It installed fine except for the volume icon which stayed the stock white. I just copied over the folders to your kitchen. What am I missing there?

Thanks again.

I would say the volume icon is overwritten or something, did you put that EXT in zzzzz_last?

edit: use this EXT and let me know.. it should not have any of the thing you mentioned

edit 2: try another volume control EXT

very good. not so good however is that every one of my TPs (TP - 23502, TP2 - 23071) started telling me that WM would expire in 30 days on 12/01. I could have sworn I included the patch for the timebomb but after tomorrow the kitchen will automatically do this like the VK does. its just a hex-edit in shell32.exe\s000.

how embarrassing...

tonights will have the prepatched shell32 in all builds and also should patch any new SYS added automatically.

I'm not sure I want to flash again for awhile. I just got the expiry message. I also thought I just read somewhere that a simple reg edit can get rid of the message for good - anyone know the edit?

Also, does anyone know how to get dotFred Taskmanager to play nice with 23502? It doesn't seem like I get all of the options with the newer build and I need to use it to get some windows class names for showcase suite.

Thanks.

my timebomb patching script is working well, has been added to the kitchen. It will take action as soon as it is dobne collecting information from the user (to know which sys version to patch) Now there is no absolutely NOTHING you need to do plug in a new SYS to my kitchen ;)

eh, I guess running my conversion script would count as something you have to do...

It is not a regedit, in the shell32.exe module one of the "source" files (S000) has to be edited with a hex editor. What you might be thinking of if the beta message that shows on 23081 (well, up until my autorun wipes it out) - that is a simple reg edit.

Sweet, looks like I'll be getting started in with this tonight once that build hits. Unless it's already there? Is it in the 11-01 file or are we gonna have to wait?
