yeah for WinMo i like the the topbar...

if they want to put it on the bottom then i want the time down their as well and the OK/X on the top... LIKE WINDOWS...

I love DCD's rom's... he wants a stable base... which im all for except i cant help but think he needs to do alot of the REG tweaks and add in XPShut, it hasnt changed in ages and honestly i think should be part of any base binded to the power button....

I am looking for the latest 6.1 ROM and 6.5 rom... .1 can suck it...

good luck with that. I have integrated manila 2.1 (gen y r1.5) into dcd's 2.16 kitchen. it was not very easy since it was provided for many different devices and locales, but in the end it was a great learning experience. I suggest you do try it! (I also prefer my start button on top)

XPShut is always mapped to my power button. It's a part of my sashimi script on autoinstall. I believe you just need to drop the files in the attached zip file to the windows directory. Try it out and if it doesn't work, let me know. There may be a registry edit that I need to dig out. It's been a while since I've found this trick, so I can't even remember who to give credit for it.

This may seem menial to some, however, is there a way to get the percentage back on the power indicator tab, where it shows how much battery level left? Thanks in advance!!!

Why?
Kitchens have far more room for error, and it would appear that DCD doesn't want to offer any sort of official support, lest his thread turn into a kitchen-tweaking discussion instead of discussing his new rom.
Looks like that may have been unavoidable.

I agree, this thread is not the place to discuss oem vs cab, however I will just say that in my opinion this forum pushes the kitchen concept a little too hard. On devices with limited memory (like the Titan), there was a perceived performance benefit. However, that is not an issue on our current devices and has never been proven to be beneficial in the first place.
Meanwhile, there are MANY advantages to doing it .cab style, and if you find that you can't find as many updated .cabs as you can oems... when then, I say you haven't looked hard enough (especially since most oems come from .cabs to begin with!). I can only imagine this would be the case if you've been working with .oems for so long that you haven't looked for .cabs. Cabs are actually easier to find in most cases, because folks aren't always interested in reflashing their phone to update one app.

Just my 2 cents.
Apologize for contributing to the off topic discussion, but felt this should be reiterated.

ok, point me out to where i can find the latest cabs out there...
also, maybe a tut on how to make cabs out of oems/exts????
