Re: dcd's hermann ROM & kitchen 2.03

Does anyone know how to make the sym button on the hardware keyboard work again for the symbols? Thanks!

Re: dcd's hermann ROM & kitchen 2.03

DCD, again thanks for all your hard work.

I was hoping that you could fix an issue that has me stuck on ROM version 1.07. This issue is the delay and locking up when sending, receiving, viewing txt messages. I have tried all your ROMs, and 1.07 is most bearable.

When sending a txt and going to back to the threaded view of txts, the top bar will disappear (where you select which folder to view) and the phone will freeze like this for 10 seconds. Sometimes even longer. I've tried every ROM after 1.07 and they all seem to have this problem.

Everything works fine, but i txt so heavily that constantly waiting for the screen to update/unfreeze is strongly effecting my use of the phone.

I know you stated that support may be given to donaters. I haven't donated lately, but have when i still had my 6800.

yea, that i do know, the thing is....ive tried looking for a specific cab, lets say "name_1.234.5", because it is the updated version of that cab (i get the updates looking at oems from kitchens that different people post). when ever i search for a specific updated cab, lets say here or on google, i cant find it!!! is there maybee a link where someone is posting the updated cabs? by the way, im mainly talking about htc oems.

Is this something that happens to you every time you send a text, or just occasionally? I've had that issue as well, on both 2.0 and 2.03, but it's a rare thing.

It's also happened to me on Juicy, Mighty, and Indagroove's more recent ROMs, so I sorta suspect it's a problem in the newer 6.5 builds.

Re: dcd's hermann ROM & kitchen 2.03

The freezing SMS issue doesnt happen every single time, but it happens often enough to be a bother, and since it seems to be random it is unavoidable which makes it more frustrating. I text alot (100+ per day) and I notice it too much which is the only thing keeping me from DCD's ROM. It runs amazingly fast, and then slows down randomly at points to the point its unbearable and needs a soft reset. This has now happened on the latest Juicy, DCD, and Energy so it may just be the newer 6.5 builds im not sure.

im gonna suggest u flash back to stock, hard reset, update profile, then flash to dcd rom and hard reset, its usually best to flash to stock when u start experiencing bugs across various roms

Re: dcd's hermann ROM & kitchen 2.03

how can i get ICS to show DATA instead of Sprint on 0.96 rom? the htc router doesnt seem to be working and i think that might be the culprit.

wm 6.5 seems really slow to me and i love the speed of 6.1, but i really need htc router working.

It doesn't happen every time, but like was said, often enough that it becomes a real pain and keeps me from upgrading. If you close the text messaging program using the task manager, it happens pretty much every time.

It MUST be an issue with the new 6.5 builds, since this problem is almost non-existant on ROM 1.07 (from the changelog, it seems this was the last rOM using this build). I've been on 1.07 for at least 10 days now and its great, I just wish it was as polished as 2.03

Also, I just noticed in the changelog that DCD went back to the OS build used in 1.07 for 2.00, so I have no idea what the problem is.

DCD so far your ROM kicks butt. I hope you continue to support the Touch Pro. I'm going to send a donation now.
