I will be trying out Tech's new updated ROM today. My question to Tech is am I able to edit the CPR files to put my own custom fonts in there? That is a legit question, and I would like a legit answer Tech. Thank you for your time!

Well last yesterday when I was using your Mothership ROM I opened my TP's C drive on my PC went to the windows folder/titanium480x640CPR files- they were marked Read Only, so I unchecked them, then I tried adding my custom font, but couldn't get the option to add at all. Am I doing something wrong?

Just curious are there ROMs where you can't edit the CPR files? Another legit question not trying to be smart or anything.

I dont know, I have been able to edit every ROM I have ever used, but Techs. I tried for an hour yesterdaythen gave up... I'll try his new ROM and see..

Ok well I haven't ever needed a special tool before, could you tell us what that special tool is TECH? All I have ever done in the past is make sure I had the font in a TTF file, load that to my windows folder in my TP, then go to my CPR files and edit the font styles in there with the font I loaded to my windows folder of TP. That easy!

What special tool do we need for your CPR files?

Tech, This is not a very supportive comment for someone trying to use your ROM.

Honestly, I don't even think Tech needs to support his CPR question. Seeing as how these files are built into the ROM, if he were to modify these files then the ROM itself would be a self-customized version of his ROM, and possibly create a corrupt Windows installation which Tech would not be able to help him with. If he were to want his ROM customized his way perhaps he could make his own? Or simply not use Techs ROMs with Techs CPR files?

. The reason this helps is because on your initial flash (from PC) it overwrites the ROM image, but it still keeps cached items of the old ROM.

Tech, any thoughts on the bug I PMd you about?

Anyone asking what the cloaked taskman is, this is it.
When you go to click the X at the top right corner, it simply gives you a little 3window selection (on the top bar of your phone) in which you can slide to either close, minimize, or show all open tasks. Note that you need to slide while you click the X [or checkmark in the new ROM] and slide, if you remove your finger/stylus the options will disappear.

it is his right to modify the rom on his own phone. he was asking tech because the cprs in his rom are locked seemingly where as they are not in any other rom i have personally seen. maybe he was doing something wrong, but tech could have responded in a more helpful way. either explaining that they are locked and how to unlock them, or that they are not locked and there may be a mistake. simply replying with a "dont mess with anything youll break your phone" type of response is not helpful. tech was asked a question about his rom, and he blew it off. plain and simply as that.
