I saw the Elite ROM in the wild a couple months ago --- talked to a guy on the team, he thought everything was flawless... but they wanted it *perfect*

but that's just it they sort of didn't ask for donations just for the rom it was for unlocker and rom and for unlocker they delivered and fast

If you donated just for a rom that is your loss because they explicitly stated the intention of the friggin post

Actually the thread that we're talking about wasn't the Unlocker thread it was the ROM thread promising DETAILS about the ROM... two completely different areas.

Also, no2chem hasn't said a single word about this rom, not on here, his blog or in the PM I sent (which I won't post)

#2 in our gsm rom BeeJive looks and works fine so you should be in luck

#3 Release date is unknown atm as for the fact that almost none of the team have devices to start work or develop with so please keep donations coming so we can get some devices and produce you something amazing

Yes you have it right, and no this is no joke. We have a crack team of developers to build you a rom that will impress. Check our thread for the gsm version on xda at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443265 The donations that people are sending us are intended to help developers buy devices so that they can create and tweak for peoples enjoyment. Also because of the members of our team we can do things that no one else can, members like cmonex and no2chem. Already cmonex has done some amazing things for us for the rom tweaking and the hard-spl with more to come. We have purchased one device so far with the donations sent to us and have started tweaking and rom building. We greatly appreciate the donations so far and look forward to any that anyone else can send. The sooner we can get a few more devices the sooner we can have everything tested and release an RC to wet the appetites of those that have donated. We have a high level of standards amongst the team and want the release the best possible.

Hey guys time for an update! We currently are alpha testing the rom after having been able to receive two devices. SO far results look VERY promising speed and performance wise. We greatly appreicate your donations and plan on trying to bring you the best we can as quickly as possible. Know this though, we will not be pressured to release early. Only once the testers we have so far say its ready for an RC will it be released to the masses. But remeber this is definately something to be excited over! Speed fluidity and that nice elite power! Keep your device ready and your donations coming. Thank you!


The unlocker was delivered in early Nov, they were still soliciting donations, and promising a ROM as of 11/28, there was supposedly an ALPHA version on 12/15.

We're trying to finalize a few things in the RC1 candidate as we'll be releasing a non-final ROM so we don't keep people waiting. Once RC1 is released we'll want the communities feedback, bug reports, and feature/enhancement requests so we can get RC2 released as quickly as possible.

Hey guys sorry it has been so long on the update. We have gone through a few internal betas and had been progressing well but the holiday and our main cook ending up in the hospital has slowed things down. He is doing well and will be back to cooking asap so keep it going and the dream alive we are working to produce the best we can. Thank you for your current and future donations.

Cool Re: CDMA Raphael Elite Project!
First of all, we are very deligently working on this rom, with beta's probably fixing to start rolling out daily starting yesterday to our internal team. We are very close to an RC1. Only have a few minor issues so far to work out. We do hope to plan an RC1 release this month. So keep your fingers crossed! As far as these new video drivers, we are aware of these, but please link us to the one's you're referring to so that we can make sure we are using the most recent/best drivers out there so that we can test very thoroughly. So far, we've only tested Sprint and Alltel versions of this ROM. (Alltel still Rulez BTW!) We hope soon to be able to test other carriers. (May need testers, but we'll get back to you on this subject after further discussion internally.) This is all for now. I'll post more info later on.

yea noir u dont understand the conversation, wrong link.
they have had the unlocker since the phones debut. and devs get donations for theyr personal roms. so as far as i see people have donated for a late realease if anything. (if it does show) and at most a racket

IT CLEARLY STATES THAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT MAKING A ROM FROM THE RAPHAEL ELITE TEAM THAT IS FOR THE CDMA TP! AAAAAANNNNNDDDDDD "AN UNLOCKER OF COURSE"!!! this isnt fair for the people who actually did donate! seriously, look into what you post before arguing something that you are going to look like a total dumbA$$!

Let's face it, the Touch Pro 2 is going to be out long before we see a viable release candidate, and even if we did, it'd be a slap in the face for it to come out this late in the game.

They took the money and used it to develop a GSM version, that's what they did. It's plain and simple. What they have looks nice, but honestly, it probably isn't all that much better than what we have Mighty making for us already. CDMA FTW guys!

no. we're complaining because they solicited funds for that particular rom and then gave nothing. and FYI, if they didn't come up with the unlocker, someone else would have.

You guys are all gallavanting about a rom when in fact the whole cdma project was a 3 fold
-unlocker
-rom
-hacks

and they've always said step one is the rom unlocker and they delivered. And now a bunch of idiots (and yes I do mean idiots) are standing on their heels saying Oh they didn't deliver the rom they promised us! You guys donated to this project which wasn't solely just based on a friggin rom. You guys donated based on the work they have done on xda developers.

For one thing this is another case of buyer beware. In fact, you still haven't abided by the forum rules here by continuously bringing this up then you wanna come and say omg they didn't give this to us. Minus the fact that these guys have consistently unlocked devices for several platforms. Heck in every single thread they have even begun, there was a donate link who cares

i didn't quote the whole rant because it was just too long of a rant.

you're still missing the point. what the "ELITE" team should have done is at least let everyone know they had stopped working on the rom. what they did was leave everyone hanging. i honestly felt after the thread was closed that they would continue and finish and post. whether here or over a XDA. and i keep going over there and looking and there is no mention of it at all.

why do you keep defending them? so they made the unlocker, BFD. like i said, if they didn't, someone else would have. i don't owe them crap.

to me it honestly just seems like an angry rant that will lead to nowhere because the users of the elite roms are xda devs that are gsm

OK, guys, I just finished reading this whole thread and it is (again) going nowhere. Some people early on tried to blame the mods for "letting this happen." Not the case, we just closed it down when it got heated. Just like I'm closing this one down cuz it's gotten too heated. If you want answers from the guys, take it to the ones that can actually answer.
