There is a cable that comes loose. Since the lights are not working, this sounds like your problem. You can get the phone replaced (after flashing back to stock and removing hardspl). Don't tell Sprint you know what the problem is, just get the phone to where it is broke, be gentle not to "fix" it (which you can do by pushing down to the right of the FN CAPS lights), then take it in and let them figure out what needs done. Or try to fix it your self. Here is a link I found:

THanks, i'll try that- I bought it off EBAY so I'm not sure if Sprint will swap it for me, Also, if the connector is broken (supposedly) then would the backlight of keyboard lit when I slide it (becuse it does). pressing space or righ tof FN caps light wont work).

I got mine off ebay too and they swapped it. When I took mine in, I just said, my keyboard is broke and let them take it from there (which they simply swapped it out). The worst they can do is say no. If you are nice, they might get you a TP2. If I remember correctly, the backlight did work on mine, but the FN and CAPS lights did not.

Thanks alot- I'll try that.

Update: I've tried wrestling with FN light area & space key and pressed it few times- Apparently keyboard came back to life...so I'm guessing your diagonse is right..off to sprint store after rejuvenating my device's ROM virginity

Kinda hard to tell yet because my phone has been pretty much docked since I installed the rom because most it takes quite awhile to sync all of my contacts, calendar, and etc but from when I've had to undock it, it seems to be holding battery life really well!
