Couple things...

First, about all the people that need to Hard reset, reflash to stock, hard reset, flash back... Maybe I was just lucky, all the planets were aligned or something, All I can say is that I came to this ROM straight from Juicy and all I can say is that this is the first time that I've flashed a new ROM and did NOT have to hard reset. Just loaded it over Juicey and it's been working flawlessly. I unplug my phone in the morning and it still has at least 50 to 60% battery left by the time it gets plugged back in around 11pm.

Second, everybody is talking about needing the next ROM. So far, this ROM has been so good and so nice looking and I've got it set up so perfectly, that I am really enjoying my phone again. It's like new! Before going to this ROM I was fed up with WinMo and its slowness and flakeyness that I very nearly jumped ship and got Sprints new Android Hero. I a linux nut and been writing programs for linux for many years. Now that I have this ROM, my wife is happy that we get to save a few hundred bucks, at least for the moment...

I agree though, the ROM is solid, there is no random hard reset bug in EnergyROMs.

I've been flashing since the ppc-6700, and never had this issue. I flashed from Mighty Rom 6 to EnergyROM, and it would random hard reset, but I followed Three faces' advise and it's working flawlessly, This is a peppy rom, no lag at all. I love NRG'Z Rom. My buddy darkness321 has this rom and was working great for him too, he couldn't believe it and flashed my phone himself, and had the same problem. Whatever the cause the the rom is running great and is very stable now.

Weird business this morning.

Checked weather tab.....wouldn't find me. Won't update weather at all. Giving me the "connection error blah blah Try Again yes or No" business, I hit yes 100 times still nothing. Tried a few soft resets still no go. Let it sit an hour, still nothing.......SOOOOO I got ticked and hard reset, ran Con's weather db cab, went to weather tab.....STILL the connection error. I can get on the internet and I am posting now through internet sharing on my laptop....no problems. OK went to Google maps.......NO LOCK, set manually on com 4 57606.....can't find me........ I have tore it down and rebuilt it....and nothing!!!

So no "my location in weather, no weather update period, AND no google maps GPS lock..............

Everyones weather working????Any takers?????

Your issue seems flash related. The hard resets and flashing back to the stock ROM before flashing a new ROM are all required to clear your system for a fresh flash. I would definately flash back to stock, hard rest, flash NRG, Hard reset, then for kicks give it a soft reset for good measure. If this doesn't work, holla back!

i have never flashed back to stock before flashing to a new rom and trust me i have tried them all till i fell in love with nrgz roms!!!! my question is due to the above mentioned will this pose a problem with me later??? i have never had a single issue with any of nrgz roms except the common mms fix,guess im lucky to have not encountered any of the bugs ppl seem to have not to mention im with vzw!! and setting the pagepool to 8 was a huge improvement,just want to give my thanks to EVERYBODY on this thread n the site included,i've learned so much since i became member!! THANKS AGAIN EVERYBODY!!!

make sure you have a second city in your weather tab... my tab wasnt making a data call with my location without having that second city... hope this works

Yeah I checked that. Thanks though. Went through the thread trying to find clues and things to try. It's weird fo sho. I'll keep messing with it as I get time today.

Mine's working great, I'm not an expert but you might need to update your PRI/PRL. I dont know what is the most current, just a thought

Sounds like your problem is your GPS. None of your GPS progs work? Try HTC GPS Utility?

Weather tab wants to use the GPS to locate you then load up the weather.

I was able to update my weather last night, but when I woke up this AM it wouldn't update.....so, I'm having the same problem.
