Flashing from the sd card

I am using the kitchen to build a custom rom. I would like to flash the rom from the card. How do I get the kitchen to build the nbh file for me to copy to the microSD card? I tried to use the NBHGen tool but it give me an error. If I press the green arrow like I am going to flash from the pc, will it create the nbh file in a directory that I can copy out?
