Re: |>|> Nov 13|<| Sac ROM Developement [Kitchen 13]

sorry to take up more space, but what build did you use for a functional iClone? Were you successful with 23506 or did you use 23088?

When I flash to an iClone build though i get a bad XML error, which I am guessing refers to the XML layout file for iphone today. I tried to plug into the computer so i can load a working version of the iphone today folder, but my computer won't connect to it via activsync...nothing loads except the top bar stuff.

edit*

OK I can access the start menu, but active sync, file explorer, in fact anything that has to do with file system won't load.

And now the romupdateutility wont auto load I have to go and make it run myself.

i am using a beta 23506 iclone and i got the .xml working from the broken one in the kitchen. im still trying to get the android today screen to work also but i will post the fixes soon. just remember that if you recieve an error it is because you have too many packages.

Re: |>|> Nov 13|<| Sac ROM Developement [Kitchen 13]

How did you get the XML working from the broken one in the kitchen?

Not receiving any errors building, the romupdateutility just stopped loading automatically after the build. It works fine if I got to the build folder and click it myself.

Thanks for your diligence I am trying to spread the word for your kitchen because even when it doesnt build properly it still kicks *** for speed and it only uses like 25% memory, nothing comes close.

I am always happy to get goodies, but if you point me in the right direction for some of this stuff I can help you with goodies... Thank CS I always keep an eye out on your stuff to see if you have anything new, and I preach the good word every chance I get! Take care and I hope that the thanksgiving break is a nice relief from the grind of class.

Coolsac,

I would love to build my own roms with your kitchen, but the problem I am having is that I can't get passed that XML error, can you tell me how you worked around it?

Re: |>|> Nov 20|<| Sac ROM Developement [Kitchen 13][iClone 5]

Beautiful looking ROM, Sac. Noticed some bugs:

1. I cannot set any ringtones. It just refuses to be changed from "Ring01-WindowsPhone. Same goes for all other notifications.

2. When I open the keyboard to send a text message, there is an extremely long delay in the view switching to landscap.

3. Freezes where it doesn't switch to the next screen for the iHome. Essentially, the screens don't "lock in place" when switching. When this happens there is no response when pushing an icon to go into a particular function.

If these bugs can be worked out, I feel comfortable saying this will be my ROM for sometime to come. As it is now, I will probably switch back to Longhorn in the next day or so.
