Re: "JD's Revenge" G53.0 ROM and Easy Ask Kitchen

JD,
Is there anything I can do to tweak battery performance on this latest ROM build? It seems to be noticibly different than your previous versions.

Others,
Please note, I am only comparing between JD's ROM's. I would like to compare my battery perfomance to the other ROM's I have tried, but I don't want anyone to get their panties in a wad.

Not sure if JD users this tweak within his kitchen.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
"PollInterval"=dword:00004E20

Also, I'm not sure if he's using 1% battery increments. I've always found that it is slightly inaccurate, especially from 90%-100% readings.

Make sure you don't leave opera open as well, as that will smoke ur battery.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like the setting matches what you have below. The killer for me is the little or no coverage in my office. The best I can hope for is sucky battery life, but I seem to have really really sucky battery life the last couple of days. I also changed to radio from 1.11f to 1.07 so I may go back, but I don't think that will help. Thanks again.

Hrmph.

One thing i've noticed with the touch pro and even when I had the diamond.

Low service = torture for the phone.

I was at a club a few weeks ago and had 1 bar to no bars of service the whole night and i **** u not i went from 90% battery - 5% battery in 2-3 hours.

Painful.

i notice when you ahve hardly any signal kinda going between service and roaming, roaming kills the battery hardcore so maybe disable roaming if possible.

So, hopefully you used something smooth like this: "Baby, I only have 5% of my battery left, so we should rush back to your place and ......."

Recommended Radio: 1.07.06F
JD, I was wondering if you could explain this reasoning any further?

I did see that you posted this:

I thought radio recommendations vary by region more than anything. Didn't know that the rom affected the radio all that much. Also, kerna? Anyways, could you expand on this further? Like the reasons why you recommend the us cellar radio? Or is it just simply it has an update that the others (telus and sprint v1.11) don't have?
