So - I think my issue was pocketsheild beta 2.7.0.14..

A newer beta (2.7.0.15 release note) has this note on it -

Here is what I found with regards to my Bluetooth issue. I had to re flash several times to get this resolved, when flashing using JD's Kitchen it is necessary to check the HTC UI apps/HTC Notification Manager this will allow you to clear the Bluetooth Notification. What happens is the WM default notification will only allow the "Bluetooth is on Notification" to be hidden the notification will not dismiss. If you re flash using HTC Notification manager you will be give the option to dismiss the notification.

Try this make your ROM without unchecking anything I have checked (unless you are wanting to add the quickmenu taskmanager or remove jetcet printing) add the calculator and whatever else then build more then likely you may be removing something that is a resource

ok i am not sure how to get this kitchen going. i used the ppcgeeks kitchen before with no problems. i open up the rar file and i am not sure what which exe to install the kitchen on to my computer.
