Hi All,

New TP user here. (Longtime Apache User).. Tried several Kitchens, but had no luck.. I have tried several ROMS, but this is the one I like best. Great work to Mike et all who assist here. Thank You!!!! (Gotta change my sig to give you props..)

I have read this entire thread and have not come to a solid conclusion. If I install the custom color themes (I am really wanting to try the orange stuff) is it easy to revert to stock? Do I just uninstall the themes via remove programs or do these just blanket write over default files? Would I have to hard reset to get back to normal?

BTW I have the crappy VZW version and have found that a PagePool of 4 MB's works best for me. I am starting up with PhoneAlarm Pro @ 65 MB's free RAM before TF3D loads..@ 8 I was getting out of memory errors doing the stuff I like to do. I cannot see a speed difference between 4 and 8 MB's...

I have some other general TP questions that I will research and ask in the appropriate area, so do not read beyond here if you want to spank me. If you have a quick suggestion and do not mind sending a PM my way, it would be most appreciated..

I used my Apache to listen to streaming radio A LOT! (I even canceled XM Radio in my car and got an HU with an audio in jack). I was able to maximize battery life by using S2U2 to turn off the screen, but keep my media playing. I had found that this only worked when also leaving Windows Media Player running even though I was playing via TCPMP or other program. This trick seems to not be working with the TP. I keep having to hit the power button to keep my media playing. Any hints on that front?

I'm a longtime xv6700 (Apache) user too. As to installing the custom themes, as long as you download the ones LilRico made that are on page 8 of this thread they are completely uninstallable and 100% compatible. Lilrico made some really nice themes. Take a look at the mods I've done to mine, the link is in the signature. You won't have to hard reset, just simply uninstall.

As to the PP.. I've heard people say before they've run it at 4. I run mine at 8 and have 47 megs of ram available if I don't use the dialer. Maybe next time I flash I will try 4 to see the speed difference. Thanks for posting that.

BTW Billy, Thanks for the Verizon TP FAQ, it was an invaluable reference for me from day one..

opera is great, however, resizing to view is anoying
is there a way to keep the size i like perm?

Give Phone Alarm Pro a go. Has a TouchFlo3D integration feature. I use the "FlippedOut VGA Theme" to blend with MightyROM and TF3D. It gives me very controlled repeating alarms as well as profiles that turn Voice Command on and off based on time of day, etc... Best app I ever bought. Timed mute is a great feature and includes an alarm clock program that you can use to schedule late night soft resets as well as wake up alarms..

the questions is, since running TF3D and it being the only option chosen in the Today settings, would the alarms still work.

Try it. If it doesn't do what you want, uninstall it and look for another solution.
