What's the benefits of flashing it from Microsd card vs. desktop (usb)?

Thanks, I'm just trying to understand about flashing...

I couldn't do it from the Microsd card so I went the desktop route from Rom5 to 4R3born

I think the only benefit you get from flashing from the card is that you don't have to worry about the pc or the cable, its direct and there is no room for a crappy flash, and you can flash on the go ( your phone that is ).

You asked prior about what the "root" of the sdcard is.. say your card was f: then the root of your sdcard would be f:\ the very lowest level (root)

If that's the case of flashing sd or desktop....desktop might be easier for me.

Root info...that's where I place the renamed file but down volume & power & reset ...doesn't do anything ...so I give up..sd flashing method.

I flashed once from the card and had enough, the pc route is easier for me too. I've flashed the phone and tons of motorola's using the usb and never had a problem, so I'll stick with it too.

Cam worked for me right after flashing, then eventually got the black screen, soft reset does not fix it for me. Mike knows about this, but does anyone have another fix until he updates his rom?

Guys, here are some custom things I did for MightyROM that I want to post here as well. That way everyone wont have trouble finding it.

arelasSlidingSoundsComplete_v0.6.cab - My sliding sound package
arelasBlackBallSlider.cab - A black ball slider I cabbed up
arelasDiamondSlider.cab - A diamond slider I cabbed up
tsowentaskbar3v1.4-arelas.cab - I rebuilt this cab to make it change the start icon to the htc logo. This does not break volume control.
psShutXP_TouchPro-arelas.cab - Touch Pro themed version that can actually shut down the device. Also remaps long power key press to it.

arelasSprintTVVGACab_PPC_1.6.4.76665.cab - I recabbed this to make it creat an icon in programs
TransparentClock.cab - I cabbed up a transparent clock with white text. I use it every time!
arelasBatteryMonitor.cab - The original battery monitor app for MightyROM, cabbed up by me!

I'll post more as I dig them all out.

Arelas thanks for the cabs. I see that your on sprint. Do you have your sprint tv working. I cant get it to work for the life of me. It wont work on 4.16, 5, nor r3born. I must be doing something wrong. I dl the tv cab and also "caulkins tv fix cab" and nothing. Any suggestions.
