check out the standard-full version in his 2nd post, he wasnt able to get it quite like i wanted but pretty close, its only missing the date in small clock but im using it now and it lloks good, he's also mentioned that hes working on getting the appointments for following days to show up so imagine when he figures it out he'll update all his version

to me it sounds like u have some sort of push mail, or windows live pulling email as it comes in or some sort of app keeping the data active cuz it should shut off your data unless an app is requesting internet, thats probably the cause of your battery loss too

i have SEVEN for my push email but it doesn't poll in that manner that i'm aware of. other than the SEVEN, i don't have anything loaded that would cause this (that i'm aware of anyway).

it's just odd. within seconds of me manually disconnecting the connection, it connects right back up.

If you are experienceing bad battery life, i may have a few suggestions.
Flash to stock, and then back to psyki. This will clear up some problems.
My own fix was to let the phone drain down to 1% and then shut down. I rebooted the phone and it came back up with 30% and took another few hours to run down to 1% again. Again, i reset and it came back up at 10% and only took about 45 mins to drain back down to 1%. I then powered off the phone and let it charge "wall charger" all night. I powered on this morning and my battery is still at 40% and normally i would have had to put in on charge 3-4 hours ago.
This has turned out to be the first rom i have stuck with a single rom for a long period of time. Psyki's first 6.5 stayed on my phone until 2 days ago, had to make myself flash....

Regarding your comparison to silence's rom...another great thing that sets this rom apart from silence's is you don't have to donate to get a link to it. Im all for supporting our chefs, ive donated to nearly every chef here, and I think super highly of silence, but requesting your thanks to be raised by 200 and donations don't seem to be in the community spirit!!

It's not polling per se but the nature of push internet means that it is using a tiny trickle of data to keep aware of when to receive email. A simple way to test this theory is to disable seven and see if the data stays disconnected.

Psyki, I've come across Conflippers North American Weather .cab. It's awesome and has over 5000 canadian and US cities. This cab works beautifully with your latest version as well. I was just thinking it would be great if you included this in your next release, I'm sure alot of people would enjoy it as well. I asked Conflipper if it's okay for others to cook it into their ROMs and he said sure.

you could take a weather database editor install it, and retype in the current URL i am using and that would give you access to type in custom Postal codes. so that is great.

well. that's exactly what happened. as soon as i shut off SEVEN, then shut off the data connection, it stayed off. very interesting. so i guess i'll just have to live with the power drain because i like the push email.
