I think you're right, Psyki. Once you have a good bootloader, the stuff after that is gravy. Now if your bootloader is corrupt, you are in trouble. My boss bricked is SX-56 a few years ago during a radio update...well, the phone worked, but the radio didn't. I'm not one to tempt fate by wanting to see if I can brick my phone, so I always try to make sure a flash is done all the way through.

That's why your much better at this than I am I thought someone said that if your battery dies in the middle of a flash then your phone will be bricked.
But, thats good to know if my battery is to low to flash.

Well if your phone is still locked you might run into problems if something happens when you flash a signed rom but I'm not 100% on that. I seem to recall interrupting a flash on my Apache and it recovered fine.

Most of the time the phones have a recovery mode. My scariest was with my USB interfaced Treo 650 that I thought I bricked, but I kid you not, like a week before I did it, shadowmite came out with USB tools for it instead of having to get a serial cable and I revived it. Sometimes a little luck goes a long way.

BTW...I just put my phone in bootloader mode. I'm ready.

Yeah this has happened to me at least once on my ppc6700, and on my touch I just was'nt sure if I was just lucky or not.
