Question about rom version name.

np....and if you make your own oem's you can also change the OEMVersions name to your rom name as well.

i pretty much have everything good now except couldnt figure out how to change the name!

oh one more question i cannot figure out how to disable t9 i uncheck the boxes yet it still gives me words when i type you know why its doing this?

not sure what u mean....do u not select abc mode?....or do u mean by default when u cook?

i dont have msn...all i use is palringo, sorry

well i would love to have it set to abc when i cook
but i went to input and disabled word completion but it still shows up

well u can do a reg edit for cooking....HKLM/Software/Tegic/eT9
set autocompletion to 0
and XT9SupportMSSip to 0

not sure y its still doin it when u change it in settings though....what sip did u cook in??

alright do you have an oem for that though if not i can try to make one but i havent tried reg settings
i did fingerkeyboard 2.1 i was thinking about putting the normal fullkeyboard to disable t9

no i dont usually make oems for registry tweaks...i either add em to a mxip or find them in the sys and manually change em....but if ya need a can make u a cab and u can either oem the cab or test to see if it works for fingerkeyboard b4 u oem it....and if u dont know how to make oems ill make one for ya....but u should at least learn how to do these things as its crucial in rom building.

yeah i know how to make oems for just about everything else but reg entries
ill try to figure it out im pretty sure i know what to do

i tried the reg edit above and it didnt do anything

could be fingerkb....not sure though...never ran into that issue....and to oem reg, make the name something like zzzCustomOem or something....rgu's are compiled first in build so it will overide any preexisting reg entries....many ways to do them....cab em first and use package creator, mainly for custom reg entries that arent already in the sys....oemizer is what i like best but i use regedit 4 entry method...but i mainly edit them from the source, (sys,oem rgu, xip,ect).....hope this helps and good luck with ur rom.

that seems much easier just doing it from the rom not making an oem

one more thing it still says the build version in the RUU how can i change that and how can i on the very first boot screen change the 1.03 next to D to the rom name?
