Re: [Sept 5] Longhorn ROM/KITCHEN 6.5 build 23041

I really like your 9-06 build so far, titanium works good for me. Can I make the icons 4-wide like EnergyROM? Also, the battery icon seems to only decrement by 10's.

Good ROM.

Gonna try CHome Editor.

Re: [Sept 5] Longhorn ROM/KITCHEN 6.5 build 23041

Longhorn, having a little problem with your last ROM (23041). It seems like sounds & notifications go back to default after a while. It may be after a soft reset but I am not sure. Not only the ringer type goes back to default but also ringer type. Also text messages go back to display but I always turn this off.

Other than this, seems pretty good!

Re: [Sept 5] Longhorn ROM/KITCHEN 6.5 build 23041

Wait! I think it's PocketShield (Beta 3.X) that is changing the default settings in sounds & notifications. I just installed the latest beta (21) and it reset some of my phone settings. Seems like the ROM is all good except that I never got Touch InCall to work with 41. It worked with 37.

Re: [Sept 5] Longhorn ROM/KITCHEN 6.5 build 23041

Longhorn, I tried your 23041 Titanium rom this morning but nothing showed up in my Today screen ie no clock, nothing at all. I've tried flashing back to Sprint stock then back to your rom but still nothing showed up. Any ideas? The panels were enabled in CHome Editor as well.
I was on the final GrooveRom before...

I should add that there seems to be 2 rounds of customization, one that occurs right after the first boot up then it asks for my Internet Connection and it seems to be done, I can see my items in the Today screen. Then a few seconds later a second round of customization starts the progress bar is at around 10% when my phone soft resets. When it's back up nothing shows up in the Today screen anymore.
Hope that gives enough information about the issue.

Hmm ok I'll try that but somehow I couldn't find Today in Start > Settings... you might want to have it enabled by default.

Re: [Sept 5] Longhorn ROM/KITCHEN 6.5 build 23041

Dear Dr. Long,
Are you planning any updates soon (within a day or two)? I'm asking because I have to reflash your latest ROM (I messed up a few things by trying some crazy stuff).
If not I will go ahead and do a hard reset tonight.

Re: [Sept 5] Longhorn ROM/KITCHEN 6.5 build 23041

MAD PROPS ON THIS FINE WORK OF ART! I am not a Longhorn cause I live in the SE but I respect the Bull! I love the detail to the small things that you've done!! Greak Job! That said, a few questions for the crowd...

Quote:
I did have some kind of error when I tried to lock the TP from the Windows Menu and had to soft reset- the whole menu would "bleed." You could exit to Manila but the screen would remain messed up when trying to get back into the Windows Menu.

I had this same issue, any resolve? Since I am a flash, crash, and learn junkie, I have loaded your ROMs quite frequently LOL and this has occured maybe 3 times and it seemed to be linked to changing themes or the like. Don't seem to have it now

Quote:
my mp3 work fine they are on the storage card i can play them as rigntones and as music. any one else seeing this

All my music files play fine Ringtones too

Quote:
One problem: most of the time when I click on an icon on the toolbar (at the top) I don't get the dropdown that allows me to view notifications, battery, etc... - not sure why it does work when it does, but 99% of the time it doesn't. Am I doing something wrong?
Same here, I know the finger friendly version is not supposed to work in this version but the task mananger dropdown only works 1 out of 100 mad crazy stylus jams when I'm stuck in a window! JK LOL (more about this below...)any clue what to do? Currently I have mapped TaskFacade to a hard key to avoid this but...

Now, for the fun part. Word of advice for the junkies out there like me, or just the poor sucker that wants to be able to use the Action Screen function.... I have installed multiple versions of the Action Screen App(s) in hopes that my desperate need for some quick open program launcher will come about for my morning drive, sippin' the java, drivin' with my knee, talking on the phone and swerving the dipstick on the scooter going 35 on the interstate.

DON'T DO IT! I mean, don't install the Action Screen unless you can confirm that it is going to work. Once you reset, the frames in the menu bars, curtains, TF3D, and Titanium will be off in such a way that you can't get to the start menu (hence, any usuable configuration app to fix the issue). My guess is that if one is able to remove the program by the uninstaller, it puts the files back from the earlier version of WinMo 6.1 where the Start Menu is at the top only the touch point is actually at the bottom covered by the distorted menus.

I'm not sayin' all us smart folks can't find a way around it to fix it but it is soooo difficult to work with, that it is just easier to re-flash! Oh, and in one of my so called genius moments, I decided to use PsShutXp to hard boot.....thought I might get the upper hand back over the distorted menus since you can't get to the clear memory program, but the HTC battle was won by my oponent with much delight by the victor!

My little OCD, gotta make it work brain, broke down and made me lock my TP in the trunk so while driving to work I didn't spill my Java after chucking it at the head of the dorkus on the moped whom I would have eventually run over after he inevidibly found his way back to the front of my car. All while I was trying to answer the phone-but couldn't get the keys to work! Man I hate a coffee stain!

Disclaimer: Humorously speaking, I really don't drive that way but others do. It's not funny Please don't flash while driving, you may hurt someone or scare small children after exposing them to your broken device!
