when I take pictures I hold the phone up right. Just like you would normally be messing with it. Power button on top and plug on bottom.

When the camera is up and running and i'm looking at the screen i see the thing in normal orientation. Attachment 1 :screen shot of what I see when "taking" the picture.

After I take the picture it saves it and rotates it 90 degrees. When I open the picture and turn the phone onto it's side, the picture does not rotate or anything (like it used to). Attachement 2 :screen shot of what it saves:

If I go into advance config this is what it is deafault. Attachment 3

If I change the "Encode photos in portrait mode:" to "YES" then when I take the picture it won't save. It will sit there with the little spinning windows thing until the end of time. F*****G annoying me...](*,)

When I first flashed to this ROM it worked like it used to...correctly IMO.

Then yesterday it just started doing this. So, I flashed to the Stock ROM and then flashed again to yours, installed advanced config and screen shot and nothing else and have been trying to figure it out all morning.

No I know what you mean. You may or may not have noticed inconsistencies in manila auto-rotate which I believe is related. Trust me I'm trying a lot of different things to fix it, of course I will post here as soon as I have solid information. I really do appreciate the precise information and screencaps, great job communicating your issue so clearly.

No problem. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work. I'm not sure why it just started...this phone was PERFECT and now it's literally changing on its own. LOL.

So the Tachi camera appears to retain whatever orientation the camera was in when you took the picture. That is if you hold the camera power button up, the picture will always appear that way in the preview. In other words no matter what the orientation the picture will always fill up the screen. The odd thing is that if you hold the camera sideways (power button left) then in the "preview" the picture appears sideways. It's a little odd but I kind of prefer its default behavior to fill the screen, even though while holding the phone power button up the pictures are "sideways". See attached pictures.

See this is what I'm used to seeing it like.

(had to export a picture, rotate and then put it back on the phone).

I take the picture with the power button on top. Attachement 1.

This is what it looks like in the previewer. Attachement 2.

And then, if I so chose to, I could rotate the camera to take the picture from full screen or to half scree (side view): Attachement 3

(these are all independant manipulations of the pictures since the phone won't do it, but this is what i'm trying to get BACK to :) )

Yeah, ultimately I would prefer the default behavior of autorotating when you hold the phone in landscape mode, and frankly the tachi camera has some other bugs that are seemingly not quite ready for primetime. Still working on it :)

Do you guys mess with the Voltage at all or just leave it set to AUTO?

I have been loving this rom and have a few questions:

1) Is there a way to make the bottom slider non-transparent? (Not the actual slider but underneath it, so the stuff like Yahoo Finance cant be seen from the stocks page, etc.)

2) Is there a way to make the Start Menu goto the Programs Tab rather than the start menu? (I know I have seen this behavior and there are what seems to be a million "start menu fixes" etc. that I have tried, but I cant seem to get it to simply replace the drop down startmenu and instead bring TF3D to the Programs Tab.

3) When I try to install the HTC Album3 cab a few pages back I get an error stating it cant be installed because I dont have sufficent system permissions.

4) I still havent be able to get Opera Mini to install. Any ideas?

I found another little hick-up that I can't seem to figure out.

I don't know what it's called but the little "running programs" menu on the top right (next to the battery meter), before I had the camera problems the applications that were running used to be small. Now they're huge, but the large icons button is un-checked. I can't seem to get them to downsize to anything smaller. In my registry editor the size is set to 0 (zero). Any ideas?

1) I'll send you the non-transparent manila slider, let me dig it up...
2) See attached CABs for start menu functionality. One cab will enable the start menu and also hide the programs tab, and the other cab will disable the start menu and show the programs tab. Note: As I've mentioned the reason I have not enabled the start menu is that the "All Settings" button tends to break. Please report back your experience :)
3) I had the same problem with the Album3 cab, I have built it into the next release.
4) I'm sorry, I have not played around with opera mini... Maybe it is an opera problem? Have you looked for support elsewhere? (not that I'm telling you to bug off :P)

Oops, forgot to attach the cabs.
