Wow that sounds really iPhony. But unlike the iPhone, I assume that is customizable, so I'm not that worried. There's probably some registry key entitled "Enable return to home after settings update [0 or 1]."

let me know when you find the registry key :evil4:

I absolutely LOVE IT.

I am still contemplating whether to include manila on MightyROM5.... I think it might get left out :D

Noooooooooooooo say it isn't so. I like Manila. Just to make sure I understand what we are talking about, the term Manila is used interchangably with TF3D right?

I haven't used Titanium. But is it is, does it provide the quick access to the same things as TF3D does without crowding your home screen? Looking at the different forums on how to cuztomize 6.5 makes my head spin. Don't think I have a handle on all the lingo being thrown around either.

yes manila = touch flo 3d. Titanium is the plugin in the copper rom. flash and see how you like it. im with mike on this one. i have always been a huge manila fan, its one of the reasons i got the phone, but this rom in particular is makin me rethink it!

Just to clarify, it's not limited to the copper rom. It's the default today plug-in for 6.5 in general.

Titanium is an enhanced version of Chrome which is the Smartphone (non-touch screen Windows Mobile) Today plug-in. Much of the customization of the UI can be done with simply editing the .crp files - which are just XML. They are also named very appropriately (ie LS_LockScene_480_640.cpr defines what your lock screen looks like in portrait if you have a VGA phone). Making new panels (think Tabs from TF3d) is a little more challenging, but mostly because not much has been developed specifically for Titanium, and the stuff that was done for Chrome just doesn't quite get you there. I have no doubt though that development for Titanium will be much easier than it is for TF3d/manila.

You may have also heard the term "Widgets". These have nothing to do with Titanium or the Today screen. These are special types of HTML files that WM 6.5 can use the new PIE infrastructure to display.

Well the key isn't going to be named that. That's how it would appear in an Advanced Config-like utility, though. And I didn't say I was going to look for it, just that I wasn't worried. 6.5 isn't out yet.

Does Titanium allow you to customize the home screen to access the same amount of info as TF3D? Like preview text message, settings menu?

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?

It doesn't preview messages, and by default it does not have a settings panel, but you can add one.

I downloaded copper this morning, now I realize how much I love TF3D... I'm currently going back to KK's.
