black screen on touch pro
 

I'm runnin mighty rom an my touch pro, and its worked great. I dont think this is really a rom issue, because I re-flashed it and no change so I didnt piost it in the mighty rom thread. My problem is that all i get a a lighted black screen, I can still dial number with the slide out keyboard, and even dial on the touch screen but can't see what I'm pressing.

is this a hardware problem, or could it be something I've done wrong with the rom or something else? I flashed the rom several days ago and it was working great

could just be a cable disconnect. i have had this happen to me before. Everything works fine, but i cannot see whats on the screen, possibly because the screen ribbon got cut? i forgot what the issue was with mine, it had something to do with the display though, i would personally flash back to stock ROM, and order a replacement, if its under warranty.

Yep.. best thing to do is flash back to stock rom and head to your local Sprint repair store. I personally go to a 3rd party authorized repair center (they are not Sprint employees, but they are listed as the authorized repair center on the Sprint website), because they tend to be a little more lenient on things. Plus, they are never as busy as the Sprint Retail Repair store that's 4 miles down the road.

yea i had my pro for about 2 months then decided to flash.... day 1 unlocking SPL, day 2 flash to mighty rom... i had the same problem, but for me it started right and i mean right after i unlocked it, and since it was a full day before flashing to the mighty rom, i know it was the spl... so i was too lazy to flash to stock and relock so i paid the 50 to get it replaced, while waiting for the replacement i flashed the **** out of this, flashed back to stock and relocked it only took like 15 min... i should have waited to get a free one but o well... but sometimes the screen would only turn on in landscape if sliding the keyboard to open the backlight would only come one, and restarting it was the same, sometimes i had to open in landscape to see the touchpro screen upon startup..
im not flashing again either, i love my phone too much to f-it up doing the spl again. atleast thats my theory...
on the plus side ive always been sceptical on how flimsy this phone is so i gave it a test... i dropped it from every angle and threw it accross the room with the keyboard open to see what it can withstand... i must say this mo fo can take more of a beating than i thought....
