Re: StarROM 1.6 WM 6.5 5.2.21215 Rhodium - Finally!!!!!
Should I be able to access Opera through Manilla T3DFLO? I click on my bookmarks and nothing happens.

Re: StarROM 1.6 WM 6.5 5.2.21215 Rhodium - Finally!!!!!
Cany anyone tell me a couple things before I flash over? I've used most of the 6.5 ROM's out there, but there are still a few niggles on each of the ones I've tried. I'm tempted to go back to 6.1, but the smoothness of scrolling and the speed is much better in 6.5.
Does this ROM have the BT icons show up when you turn BT on, and does it have the "ringtone is corrupted" issue that i've had on other 6.5 ROM's? Oh, I almost forgot, does the data connection stay active after initial connection? This drains the battery quite rapidly if you don't shut it off manually or use advanced config to do it for you (which I couldn't find the right settings to do it). Thanks |

Star's 1.5 has the OneNote in Office mobile folder. Glad I found this out I use this as well and will stick with 1.5

I did a hard reset and the problem seems to have gone away. This leads me to believe its the ROM that's causing this to happen. Also, it reports that the max text size is 130 characters...kind of strange considering it's supposed to be 160. Overall, I do like this ROM though. Pretty responsive and some of the bugs that were present in 21501 are gone (so far no corrupt ringtones!) EDIT: The hardware keyboard seems a lot more responsive too.

This because some of the service providers has the text limit set at 130, If I remember correctly if you get Acrsoft for Sprint then it will bump it back to 160 |

Re: StarROM 1.6 WM 6.5 5.2.21215 Rhodium - Finally!!!!!
Good thing I didn't flash over to another ROM too fast because of the Microsoft OneNote issue. I soft reset my device with it connected to the PC USB cable and once Active Sync started going again (I had already paired it with the PC after flashing), a pop-up window appeared in my desktop copy of OneOne, by the "Side Note" icon in my lower taskbar. The pop-up said it can install OneNote Mobile on my device for me. Pretty nice, the desktop edition realized a piece of Office software was missing on my mobile device. So I told it to set it up and now I've got OneNote Mobile on my Touch Pro with StartROM 1.6
![]() I'm good now. Really enjoying that I can make calls using Manilla with this ROM, which I could not do with Juicy 7. I've now got a WM 6.5 build, with a better working Rhodium Manilla. Some items in Star ROM 1.6 are a little misaligned, like landscape Manilla in Juicy 7 looked a little better, but overall I'm liking StartROM 1.6 better so far. Having a licensed copy of Onenote on my desktop helped me past my issue of OneNote Mobile not being in the ROM, but I guess anyone who uses OneNote Mobile and does not have a license for the desktop version might be in some trouble if they want to try StarROM 1.6. I decided to try StarROM because a number of people who have tried various ROMs have mentioned they preferred it. I guess for now I'm another in that camp. |
